Hey all just wanting to know as a newbie grower in trying something out i have 16 autos all in 1 gallon fabric pots and running 24hr light and just feeding bloom nutes would i be wasting time and space its only for seeds

Welcome to the OG. I don’t think it’s a waste of space. I’d probably feed with some veg nutes early but it should work either way.

You dont need a lot of space to get a good amount of seeds it makes sense.I pollenated a lower bud outdoors this year that was the size of my thumb,two swipes and a flick with a pollen saturated q tip.Ended up with 73 seeds in that one little cluster.One tiny plant can get you thousands if you hit the whole plant top to bottom.Most i ever got was off a 18 inch cutting of Big bud xBubblegum Got about 1500 seeds top to bottom

Might be a little small but the volume of plants should make up for it. If you have good organic soil, you can usually skip veg nutes but not sure how that would play out in pots that small. I used to feed dry amendments during week 1 so they would be available when the plant is about 2-3 weeks old and them switch to flower amendments
Only a thing is some autos can get weird under 24/0. Plenty grow normally and handle 24/0 totally fine but ive had a few that seemed like they didnt want to finish. Never had any issues 20/4.
Edit: Mothman and Humboldt dream are two that i remember dragging out and kinda getting to their weird never ending flower stage. Mothman went about 130 days and Humboldt dream was probably 110ish both could have gone much longer. Have grown many more on 24/0 without issue.

Well let me put it this way:
This is an 18x strain F1 run using 16oz cups and clones from my photo period mother plants:
If I was doing this with autos I’d go with 1-2gallon traditional pots to make sure they get as big as they can get but I use air-pots so the 1.2gal volume with root air pruning translates to a using a traditional 2 gallon pot; the only catch is I have to water ever day. 
So in short going with 1 gallon at 24 hours will prob get you great results if you nail your PPFD rates and VPD levels so keep as you are growmie!
The only thing I suggest contary to your stated plan is to add Veg nutes in there because you are making seeds!. Give them some N and they’ll give you back the love.
Don’t overdue it but I give my seed runs 5 days flower, 1 day coconut water/aloe, 1 day veg nutes and it works out great for me.

@Stu420 may I ask which strains you found this with? When I auto I like to cook em under 24/0 but make exceptions always based on plants needs.
So knowing what didn’t appreciate the cooking with you would add to notes for the future!

Mothman from gnome auto, humboldt dream from HSC are two i remember being finicky.
I believe gnome auto advises less than 24/0 either for mothman or one of its parents. I think she ended up going like 130 days before i chopped her and she could have gone longer
Have run double grape, Alien v triangle, mango smile, ridley OG, strawberry milk and qookies, hindu lights and grape walker kush 24/0 without any trouble

These three were all in my last run. Only other strain i had going was their bubbasquanch, which turned out to be my fave. Didnt care for ROG. The rest were dynamite

Its goingbto known as the auto lucky charms it was a mix of 8 strains just thrown inall up was 52 seedlings but took the best 16 from the mix

I do a two weekish transition where I’m mixing veg and flower ferts 50/50. Starting a little after flip.

An ex commercial buddy literally just does this now and swears by it:
For flower: Grow A = 2.9-0-2.3 + Flower B = 0.4-3.3-4.0
He doesn’t make as ridiculous of a nutrient solution mix as I do so I’m sticking to what’s been working for me but do want to do a side x side run with his method to see what happens.

Will it work in 1 gallons?? Yes if you are diligent watering. I just did 24 plants in 1/2 gallon pots and up potted the females to 1 gallon after being fertilized. It worked well. ymmv

TPS One can be used in veg and flower all you do is adjust the dosage so theres no wierd transition nutrient shit fits and the plants seem to have some stress relieved.Indicanja by purple cow soil mix just tells you to repot into a bigger pot with more indcanja soil when you flip to give it the food for flower which is the same as the veg its funny but ive been using it and have had no issues but that tiny tip leaf burn thats it no worries about timing and switching nutrients after flip.You can supplement with TPS bud and bloom booster.Im starting to notice all my bottles of Feed are turning into TPS bottles.I really like thier products they pair well with organic soils to add a buffer after veg nutes are depleted
