Pretty simple, all trades here are 100 seeds and will be used for breeding projects. This should improve breeding resuts for projects of everyone involved.
I should go first and without delay,
100 Heirloom Afghani x Kanak Balochistan seeds up for trade for your 100 seeds.
Heirloom Afghani x Kanak Balochistan is what I bred together for a F1 modern day hash plant.
We breed what you trade for to trade back to this thread again. This could become fun and lead to a 1000 seed breeder club one day.
Only the best 2 of 100 seeds should be selected and used. 1 male, 1 female the only requirement. We can watch this thread feature a detailed historical record of all our work.
We can IBL lines quickly if we all chip in and help one another achieve it.
Lets see what we are truly missing by not IBLing our genetics. This is truly the thread for serious breeding work.
I’ve been looking to get some hash plants in my life! I’m down to trade and grow them all out at once. I have a few thousand Superboof x Super Lemon Haze IBL V1 & Gary Payton x Super Lemon Haze IBL V1. The father shines through, adding a sweet Meyer lemon aroma. I’ve only popped 32 of the Gary cross so far, but I’m eager to pop more and do a proper run indoors. The father adds much-needed vigor to Gary.
Facilitating 100 seed runs is pretty nuts, I could pitch say 100 of my Kona Gold that I just repro’Ed but in no way could I grow more than 10 full plants.
This concept rocks though and what if, we find the members of the site who can do 100 seed runs, then we vote on which one’s interests us as a collective the most. It’s like the co-op but it would be vetted from members beans and we’d handle the distribution or support of it ourselves?
Maybe lower it to 60? I have done hunts of a few hundred before in the past but i prefer 60 and usually what i do. It’s easier to manage, especially when space is a concern.
i love the idea.
My list is short but they can accommodate the thread. Sorry if this is not the idea.
I have a few hundred of the following if anyone is interested.
Harlem Shuffle X iron Cindy
Banana daddy ibl auto X freakshow F1
Banana daddy ibl auto X freakshow F2
Banana freak F3 bakin right now
and a bunch more in the 50-80 seeds range if the limit is lowered.
One can fill a 4x4 with 60 solo cups. I have a bunch of shit i need to pop snd considering what to pop first. A few are probably doing to be one strain alone and possibly making seeds.
3 in each bag. The traits i was aiming for were visual at cotyledons so i just culled and re sowed.
Ended up need 364 seeds to find two with the traits i wanted.
Somewhere in between pollen chuckin and breeding.
Yeah, it’s really hit/miss with transplanting, especially autos. You can rip sone phenos out of the soil, repot them and they’ll be fine meanwhile some will die within a few days.
I like your style Greg. I hope to one day have the space and legality to run a hunt of 100. This is definitely the way to isolate some gems. Good luck to everyone who does a run, I’ll be following along.
I can send you some. I have like 50,000 seeds from all Afghani’s i bred Kanak Balochistan into.
I was finding Skunk frontside with a Skunk burn backside in A.I. I gave a good male away, that one in the pic lol. And i think they never got a chance to use it.
Someone gave him red maruf with spider mites. He quit growing and threw everything away. 2 years he took a break. But we loved what was found and can’t wait to see where this F1 generation goes in life.
It definitely took better to a Heirloom Afghani than the maple leaf, the ML x KB still had that grassy, but a decent grassy that got you baked. Once MLB meets flavor its on. Had to plant MLx KB late in july to test it. Grew pretty big quickly outdoors.
Finding Skunk in A.I. just told me a grassy KB likes a Afghani added to it. Even though the female had pure Afghani, Skunk found a way to dominate phenotypes.
The kanak is a grassy, the Heirloom Afghani male i use is a Skunk frontside with a slight Afghani backside. I’m hoping a female Heirloom Afghani shows skunk in the new seeds. I added the male skunk Afghani last year to repopulate Heirloom Afghani.
This year the Heirloom Afghani female turned blue ish. So did a few others that never did before, wierd weather year with a full eclipse that induced early flowering as well.
I just sent at least 5000 Afgnak Indica seeds to Colombia for a phenotype hunt.
I call it A.I. lol I’m still open to another name, but a pure Indica Hashplant from 2 landraces is definitely there.
Here’s my male Heirloom Afghani skunk. One is the top of the cut clone. And the rest of the plant after its top removed. It was a big clone to deal with, Hard to tell i removed the top just a few nodes down to clone it. lol. New branches were just forming on the tank lol
