This is quite smart!
Cut down on lighting costs once you have your daily light interval. I dig it :+1:

Might just have to measure par though to make sure you will be hitting your DLI, but once you have that and the light is at high level that the plant can handle, it should be all good.

Also here is a list of plants, their life stage, ppfd and DLI requirements: Light Requirements for Plants: Find Your Plant's PPFD and DLI | Photone

This is affectionately known as the “gas lantern lighting schedule.”

I will update with my plants. I only been growing a couple years but it’s worked good with the Westport tester seeds was my last harvest.

Sounds like a very good way to test if your strain has hermie tendencies!

Who is this “king” of Nepal? Did he have a entourage?

I think my cats are on this same schedule.

Actually… the more I look at it… Yeah. 12 hours daylight. 6 hours dusk. full moon for an hour. (cat zoomies). then 5 more hours sleep. Then back to 12 hours daylight.

It adds a night time reset to them.

Well… Hmm… I do enjoy unusual light schedules.

Then flowering. “heres your daylight, now sleep n make flowers”

Yeah… very unusual. I’m pondering.
