I’m weird and just stick the seeds right in dirt… heres my UFS. Yay!
Never gonna work. Don’t you see all the seeds out in nature soaking in paper towels? There’s a reason we do it the way we do it.
Not weird, just soaking first can get them to open faster, and the paper towel is just to see if they are viable before putting them in dirt. It saves space and soil so your not planting a dud. I prefer soaking and putting in peat pellets, since they’re less space than a cup or container of dirt lol
Yep, these will go for a swim for 24-48 hours then into rapid rooters. In a humidity dome. After that they will get put in their final 16 oz. cup. I just started soaking some coco. I’ll be using coco hempy cups with MegaCrop this time around.
Mine stay in the water till they get tails, the straight into their final soil-y cup homes for the next… god knows how long.
Mine soaked for 12 hours and then into paper towel as I hate the disappointment of not seeing a sprout in a cup, which happens WAAAAAAY too often.
White widow- Blue moon pollinated with Forbidden fruit feminized. Hmm well see if they sprout this early…also starting DJ short blueberry f5 regs
3 of the THC Bombs and 1 of the Holy Punches have tails and went into soil. The soil is a mix of organic potting mix and Happy Frog with a little perlite added. I threw some no-till cover crop seeds in for good measure. I plan to supplement with mineral nutes at about 3 weeks from first leaves, because that’s what I use for my DWC/Ebb & Flow plants and I’m all about being lazy.
I’ll be here, watching you weirdos try to grow a plant out of a cup. Best luck to all!
After soaking for about 48 hours, all of the Durban Poison seeds cracked.
I decided to go ahead and sow them directly in their coco hempy cups.
RDP. All 6 popped and in dirt*!
Under cover.
*by “dirt” I mean, various experimental media.
Edit: Forgot to cover these and all died.
I love the smell of seedlings in the morning.
