Loving the smell from the seeded 96, it is super loud pungent smelling , kinda like sour mothball funk , it just has this thick smell that lingers , and if I rub her and touch all the other flavors she overpowers your fingers and you gotta use ISO to smell anything else

The mutation on the seedlings, the leaf morphology; plant structure, smell description, flower development; etc…

It looks a lot like purest indica i just finished growing or the NL 2 that i grew out, its def a hash plant, thats for sure!!!had an oasis pheno of nl2 from dutch passion that was a dead ringer as well but that was years ago, had same type of look as well and that was their selection of NL2. Def an afghan style plant. Being Early NL genetics would make sense from the 90’s it being one of the more readily available and popular cultivars back then that people would have had unless the original grower collected beans themselves.
Northern lites, white widow, uk cheese, sour diesel, amnesia haze , jack herer, master kush, bubba kush super skunk, skunk 1, super silver haze, chem 91, og kush Etc. we can rule out hybrids, sativa or OG type plants as thats not how they grow. Leads me back to master kush, bubba kush Or NL from that era but we will never know. It sounds promising!!!

If you’re still looking for a flow hood, I can save you hundreds of dollars right now lol. Go to Walmart, get a box fan and get the highest possible level of HEPA filter you can get (should be dark blue color coded) that will fit on the front of the fan. Tape it to the front, making sure the air flow arrows are facing away from where the air will be coming out and there you go. Place it in a small, clean room on a desk and let it run for about 2 hours to cycle through all the air. Work in front of that while it’s on high with standard sterile procedures and you won’t get contamination. That’s the same setup I use for agar work or inoculating grain jars or taking clones in my mushroom operation.

He’s a friend of mine I’ve known for years , he said he knew this old guy who had given him a few 1996 & 1998 seeds , and he gifted me the 96 ones , 3 seeds , 1 dud , 1 male , 1 female - I’m calling them the 1996 , because they was labeled RKS96 , and I’m not sure and don’t plan to clout chase or say I have anything when I don’t type deal, so really the idea here is for me to hunt the f2s I make and maybe can pinpoint what they are , but mostly just excited for him the old genetics , and to build something with them / see its potential

Whatever it is I’m excited to work with them, going to plant 150-200 of the f2’s , and just work it with my selections, mostly aiming for unique and stanky terps , and then I can pair it to other things and find the combos / find dominate terp profiles of the crosses - but for now I’m just letting things go with time, and when I harvest the seeds & this upcoming clone run of the female, we might get an idea of what it is , but it’s definitely unique , the male and female - and grows different compared to my newer age keepers

I’m hoping for some old terps / crazy terps with the f2s , when I flower the female clone out here soon i will be feeding them sulfur additives to bring out any thiols , as much as I want it to be RKS, I just know that’s going to bring alot of trouble , rumors , hate , which I have no want to be apart of , I just want unique terps & flavors that are forgotten - all for the love of the plant - whenever I get things worked with these & I get a line that’s me x me , I’ll be doing a charity drop , and I’ll be giving out the 96 as freebies , but I’ll want them worked more & to know full potential / issues / etc

After I get a full smoke report of the non seeded mother , & can see how she is, I’ll be making S1’s with her or the new keeper I’ll find in the f2s , since I only had 2 seeds and luckily enough got male and female, running a bunch of the f2s will allow me to make actual selections and start from there , but for getting lucky enough & the way the male smells & the female - it’s exciting nonetheless

I found some really amazing skunk terps in some texas roadkill from shoreline genetics. I fucked up and thought it would be more hype and lies as ive bought and grown every pack of “RKS” offered over the last 10 years that i coupd get my uands on only to be let doen by every single one. Actually found a pheno in the TRK with skunk spray terps, not roadkill but pure skunk spray and coffee. failed at reveg and didnt keep cuts because i figured it was another scam. 15 years of looking and i let it slip by me…fml.Bought a couple more packs and hopefully find something like that pheno. Ive been on this skunk hunt for over a decade. I very much hope this guy brings out some skunk!!!

Nah you’re good man people have been on that wild RKS goose chase for years now. I just got done reading through a thread where bro was swearing up and down his “Nempho” auto had the potential to make RKS. He also made it clear that he was a narcissist which was more than clear just by the way he talked up his shit. Then he legit went off on somebody for complimenting his plants. Like, 5,000 word essays just to say nothing. All I’m saying is the RKS search will drive you insane if you fall too deep into it. It’s like a mf curse or something. Bro legitimately took the time to type out the reasons why someone in the forum should trade him a 2022 mustang GT500 or a 2022 Stingray Corvette for his auto seeds. Just keep sane, please lol

I’m right there with you. I never got to experience it as I’m pretty young (24 in august) but I definitely remember the way my uncles weed smelled when I was a little kid. Definitely skunky lol but at the same time when you’re young or if you don’t smoke, it all smells generally like “skunk” so who knows. Pardon my rambling, been babysitting a grinder full of weed all night lmao
