These guys are 3 days old and the new Ovtopots arrived yesterday. Can wait to get these planted.

That skywalker has roots on bottom of cup already. When do you find the best time is to transplant into the octos?

You do not want to let those young plants get rootbound in their temporary container. Transplant asap into the Octopot!
Remember that when you transplant, water really well over the top, but then you never water from the top again - they will only drink from the reservoir after the initial transplant. It could take 10-14 days for the roots to reach, and the plants might not look happy for a bit since they don’t have any nutrients. Don’t water from the top! We want to encourage the roots to grow DOWN, so providing them with what they need on the soil surface is counterproductive. I try to spritz them with plain water several times per day during this period. Growth EXPLODES once the roots hit the rez!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to get everything ready and transplant that as soon as possible. Next time I will def plant directly into the octopot. Those roots are crazy fast.

Here she is. Yeah those roots were already starting to circle around the bottom of the pot. So she is in her final home now. The other girl will stay in her cup for a few more days until she is ready to go.

so now what? I just sit back and wait for the roots to hit rez? I just chill for a week or 2 and just make sure the water is at the first line? feels weird LOL.

Yep dont rush it wait till you see the roots start to pop out the cup in the bottom then i do my first feed and fill

I was nervous transplanting on day 5, yesterday but just checked on her and she has grown since last night. I guess I didnt stunt her.

Well the babies are still doing good. Somehow the one I transplanted to the Octopot is out growing the one I left in the cup, even with the transplant. Can’t wait to see what happens after she hits the rez.

Skywalker and double grape are both on day 9. Skywalker picked it up a little since being transplanted into octo. All seem to be on auto drive right now. Just patiently waiting for the seedlings to hit the rez.

Here are my 2 Mephisto’s in their octopots. They were planted at the same time but he freebie seed is really growing compared to the double grape. The freebie is now 8 days in the octo and the DG is on day 5. The larger plant is a bruce banner auto thats on day 51 from seed planted.

They will be getting their own 3x3 tent tonight. The octopots will be in a 3x3, evo4 300w, promix bx with perlite added, 6 in aci exhaust fan, clip on fans, aci humidifier, gh flora nutes, silica and hydroguard will be added also. Once these mephistos are done I just received my speedrun seeds. Cant wait to compare the 2 grows.
