I did 4 of the 5-gallon pots in my 4x4 last run and I lost control fast! I ended up with 2 scrog nets training under the net just about nightly. I went away for a 3-day weekend and they were wild! They ended up to the top of the tent with the lights as high as they could go, lol. This time, I’m only running 2 Octopots and being aggressive with lst, net, and supercropping and they are still growing crazy, but under control. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive with them lol.

The one on the right, its the double grape. Once she got big enough I started doing a little training on them. I actually split her main stem in half just over the second node but I realized and stopped it there so It was only half way through. I propped her together and she is good as new and actually caught the other plant and passed it in size. I figure I stunted it for sure but nope.

What do you all do with your trimmings or little buds when you’re done? I kinda dont want to just throw them out but I dont want a lot more and complicated work either. Is there an easy way to use it that’s not a long or complicated process?

I make hash from the trim and smalls
Very easy
Also can make canna butter
I would like to make hash but everything I saw seemed like a complicated process so I kind of checked out on that. Whats your process if you dont mind me asking?

Start with canna butter. Super simple and if you buy a Magical Butter Machine it’s so easy a Caveman could do it! And it’s potent!!

Simple way
Is ice hash
Freeze weed over night
Lots of ice and very cold water
2 @ 5 gallon plastic bucket
A 5 gallon mesh pant strainer bag ( Home Depot , paint store cheap )
Screw gun attach a paddle for mixing
In one bucket combine ice and water and weed
Use screw gun and paddle ( you can do this by hand also ) if using a screw gun on a slower speed and mix for 15 minutes
In the 2 nd bucket set up mesh bag and pour the mixture into the bag and let the liquid sit after straining for like 30 minutes what is sitting on the bottom is the hash
Carefully remove as much water as you can with out disturbing the hash on the bottom
I place the bucket sitting on a slit angle as to collect the hash in one side on the bucket ( as it sits for the 30 minutes) if that makes sense !
Collect the hash and let it dry ( I set mine on a coffee filter which is placed on a piece of cardboard to drain off
Repeat process like 2 more times then the wet weed is done and is just wet leaves at that point

I have the hash bags now and a small ice washing machine I like to make hash

Cannabutter is the way I am going. I can freeze it and use it in baking brownies and cookies. I am in on that and seems pretty damn easy.

Im a fan of dry ice in bubble bag. No water. Takes 15 min. Just do not touch dry ice. It will give you ice burns.
Throw layer of dry ice pellets (or broken up dry ice block if thats all you can get.) into 5 gal bucket.
Second layer of buds. Maybe 1" thick.
Repeat layers two or three times.
Let sit 5 min.
Cover bucket with 120 or 90um (or 73 if youre a snob like @JoeCrowe) bubble bag. Its tight but get the bag pulled down onto bucket at least half way. All the way if possible.
Shake bag vigorously over a large mirror or table.
Collect the goodness with a credit card.

Bubble is a TON of work, but dry ice is quick and easy. The product isn’t quite as nice as bubble, but it works and you can go from start to finish with everything cleaned up in an hour! The dry ice method is indeed “dry” so you don’t have to worry about the overnight drying step of the bubble process…
Throw your trimmings in a 5 gallon bucket, add some chunks of dry ice, pull a bubble bag over the bucket, shake things up, then turn it upside down so the hash falls through the mesh screen onto your clean working surface. Keep shaking and dumping until the color becomes more green. The dry ice will cause the plant material to break up the more you shake. You just have to find your personal balance between a larger return versus overall quality.
Note that bubble bags come in different micron mesh sizes which will affect your yield. My first time I used 73 micron, but went larger the second time. I ended up with so much hash which I consumed in a few ways: I used Frenchie Cannoli’s wine bottle method to make some real old school pressed hash (like I used to smoke when I lived in France!), got a 3 hole hash pipe with the glass rod for smoking/vaping, and I also used it for edibles. I love my Magical Butter Machine and my usual recipe calls for 3oz of flower/trim which is about as much as the machine will hold. Turning that into hash first allows me to make a much more potent batch of infused coconut oil. My last round I used 3oz flower PLUS 10g of hash. That makes for some tasty cookies!!!

Alcoholic tincture is also easy to do
And with the tincture you can make Cana sugar
If you purge the tincture of all the alcohol it becomes RSO

I make FECO. I used to make cannabutter, but FECO is so freaking easy. With the Feco, I make awesome gummies. I do make infused MCT oil sometimes as well.

I planted a photo seed back in very early spring indoors in a cup. It was my first try. I stunted her and it was dying so I just planted it out back to see what happens. She is now in flower lol. What do you think her yield will be? I cant believe she stayed alive the last 4 months
