The lighting makes it look really orange. It has major orange hairs, but it is also green. lol
yeah I would feel differently about bud I think
Dude! Been meaning to comment on this. That is exactly how I remember it from back in the day! Iām geeked on it. Canāt wait to grow it out. The old strains just taste better grown outside too! Just tastes more authentic to me. The cheese I grew this year was spot on to the way I remembered it, especially because I grew it outside. Lights just canāt capture nostalgia like that. lol
This run is indoors.I am super stoked from the quick dry bud tester.2 of 6 plants are ready to chop with an 8 week flower time. The other 4 will go 9 to 11 weeks.I will be putting 3ft clones of plant 5 in 30gal pots outside in May as its is one of the onces that finishes in 8wks.As soon as the high hit on the 2nd draw it was like i was back in the early 80s smokin the killer MW we were getting here in Torontoā¦
Actually, I can see that. Iām still a hippie though when it comes to anything cannabis. The love should be shared. Itās a culture to me and also still a big middle finger to the man. I started to grow my own because I couldnāt stand paying the tax at the dispensary once it went recreational. True story.
Yup! If itās good now, outdoors is gonna be tremendous! I love nostalgia bud!!
yeah the tax here in MIchigan is 16% for recreational, and 6% for medical. The model used to be that the caregiver system was a service, and therefore wasnāt taxable, but the state saw dollar signs and decided to make money on the backs of patients who need the medicine. When they originally wrote the medical marijuana law they also stipulated that any money collected for the patient and caregiver ID cards was to only be used for administration of the medical marijuana program, and the money started piling up and was safeguarded despite numerous attempts by the Governor at the time, and the legislature to rob that fund. They decided they needed to slow down the money they were collecting because it want costing them as much to run the program as they were collecting, so they reduced the price and increased the number of years, and simplified the form to reduce paperwork. When recreational marijuana was legalized here they reported almost daily about how many millions of dollars that the state was raking in - I thought it was obscene. When I was a teenager and dreamt of a possible future when weed would be legalized I always assumed that the price would go down, and it was only $35 an ounce when I had those thoughts. Granted, the $35 in 1978 dollars is about equal to $140 now, but still I never even imagined that good quality weed would go for $20 a gram or more.
Itās double that here! Hell, I swear we pay sunshine tax in Cali. Itās brutal. Our sales tax is 10% all on itās own. Now with another county tax on the cannabis? Shoot. Screw those bloodsuckers! 30% tax on weed. More expensive than buying it off the black market now. I wish I had thought it through more before I voted past medical marijuana.
that should be illegal, thatās way too high of a tax, they think that marijuana smokers are made of money, itās insane
I forgot. If you āregisterā with the county as a medical patient. They give you a whole 3% discount. Register that I use a Schedule I substance? Yeah, they can fuck right off!
This happened to me once. I gave a few samples to 1 person to try that needed genetics for a grow. When I asked about it he just said he sold it all. Infuriating. Not to go spamming your chat with details, but they also screwed me out of a grow when I went out of my way (time/finances) to help them with setup and whatnot to begin with.
Mofoās only get one chance to mistake my generosity and kindness for weakness. Just sayinā¦
Fucking mofos be crazy!! You spend my head right round!! Itās going down!!
I got your back @Meesh.!!
I would definitely be pissed off if I gave a friend of mine some bud so they could save money and have good smoke or whatever and they went off and sold any of itā¦ honestly if they wanted to give a little away that is great and good to have the gratitude continue down the line. With seeds I still think I would be a bit irked but to each their own
Ooh! Thatās a crazy morality test right there. On one hand, when you give a gift it should be selfless, with no strings attached. Once given, it really should be theirs to do with what they will. On the other hand, itās rude to respond to selflessness with greed. Is there a right and wrong? Dependsā¦ Like something from my college ethics class. lol

Personally you took it better than I wouldāve. If I had a friend that did that to me I would be furious. Definitely wouldnāt ever give them anything again.
I totally agree about the buds, to me that is different as I said. I had a friend who has since passed away of cancer, but when he was diagnosed with cancer he used that fact to the limit, and solicited for free weed from caregivers, and then ended up selling some of that weed to buy guitars or whatever he felt he deserved. Although he was a good friend, I always felt that was kind of shitty of him to do, and I vowed to never be like that at that time.
Every single person that I sent those packs of seeds to it was my idea, nobody asked for them. I had some packs together and I picked out people here that I enjoyed reading their posts, or they seemed like a cool person and I msgd them asking if they wanted any seeds. Thatās not to say that those that I didnāt msg arenāt also cool lol, I just had a limited number of packs and I sent them to whoever was on my radar at that moment. Some sent seeds in return, but that wasnāt the intention of the action, I just wanted to spread around some good genetics to people. So, a few packs ended up being part of a trade of sorts, but again that wasnāt the objective. I have made a few really good friends as a result of all of that, so whatever happens to the seeds and wherever they end up landing is where they should be, I just hope that people actually plant them and try them out.
Seeā¦ now if these things were discussed beforehand itās different than if left to implication. And being grownups/oldmfers means we expect certain patterns with humans.
