Thanks! It’s always a bit nerve wracking when they first go in the ground. Worry about them not taking and beetles eating them. lol It always seems to work out though. The cannabis are probably the toughest most resilient plants out there, yet I worry about them.

yeah we all worry about them - we forget it’s a weed

Anyone pay attention enough to know what week they usually start forming branches? I am chomping at the bit to sex them and find out if I have females.

Hysterical. The high price of straw in the city has turned into “you should just move to the country”. Thats exactly how I think!

Iv had plants show real late it can be disappointing when in late July they finally show , my volunteers are 8-10 nodes tall and there’s absolutely nothing yet

I’m waiting for branches to form. I’m gonna get cuttings, bring them in, put them in glasses of water and cover them with a paper bag every night at 5 pm so they will show me sex.

Maybe try just using rock wool cubes in a blacked out propagation dome you could get many cuttings in a small area that way.

I have 30+ plants in my back yard maybe I’ll try cuttings and force flowering as well and see how it goes I usually have issue with keeping things straight so we’ll see how that goes!

Looks great but I guess that’s a city thing to put the T Post in upside down lol .

They were just markers from when I measured out the plot. I’ll take them out when the trellises go up.

Straw for ground cover / compost we use alfalfa that’s spoiled moldy wet seems to have less weed seed and adds nitrogen and other nutrients to the soil . We buy it anyway for our livestock to feed in the winter and we also buy grass hay so all kinds of weeds come up and the goats and sheep love it we also have a few Dexter cows that seem to eat anything . Getting back to hay the alfalfa breaks down nicely some straws don’t like rice straw which would work great for pathways or adobe bricks . Alfalfa is real expensive in my area the last time I checked over $14 bucks a bale ouch .

Absolutely, if they don’t run you down!

They’ll probably start putting out some lower branches in the next week or two, especially in that Cali sun lol

If you think you’ll top them anyways just grab the tips and let them bush out. I usually find that’s the quickest way to get a viable clone from a seedling.

Comparison UFS 18 and skunk 1

So aside from the number of leaves. I don’t really think what they sell as skunk 1 is all that similar to the Uncle Festers Skunk. Different branching and the UFS is a darker green. Anyone with a better trained eye have any observations?

Just noticed my cat photo bombing one of the shots… Where’s Sonny Boy?
