It’s a busy week. Entire backyard got a Cal/Mag drench as well as the container plants. Despite my BT Sprays, bugs are eating leaves still. It’s much worse than last year for some reason. I’m not sure spraying spinosad will help either. I’m pretty sure that it’s flying insects doing it. Oh well, It’s still not life threatening. Everything except the caterpillars usually fuck off once they start throwing out smells. The plants are growing like wildfire. The plant in the video that I was comparing to the trellis is about 5 inches away now. That Cheese plant is a fat girl.
My man is having a bonfire at my house on Saturday and I’ve had outside clients all week, then trying to get everything beautiful and organized for his little get together. I’ll get new pics soon or a new vid, so you guys can see the progress. Still have to shop and cook for this thing. I’m an anxious hostess. Rolled a whole bowl of joints. Everyone can have their own. You know Covid 19 and all.
I don’t have a scale, but guessing at least 15 pounds last year. I thought it was less but judging by how much I’ve given away and how much I still have left, I’m thinking 15 is about right
Damn that’s a Huge haul ! Have ya gotten into making edibles? I think if I had that amount I try to incorporate cannabis in every meal … that would make a ton of cookies that would make Cookie Monster green with envy! Lol
Well, I don’t eat edibles, but I did make dozens of cookies that I give away. I think I even have a dozen left in the freezer.
Thanks! I love visitors in my garden! My gladiolas are done now! Sure wish they lasted longer. They really liven up the yard! They are supposed to be summer bulbs, but here they come up in May. The garden is in a transition period right now. Basically just chopped back all the spring flowers and now the summer flowers are just starting. They should really be going gangbusters again soon.
Yes! You are correct. I do have a special Lilac hybrid that was specially bred for my warmer zone. In my last video above, I give you a glimpse of it. It is still pretty small. I got it as a tiny twig maybe 6 inches tall and it actually looks like a small bush now. When fully grown in it should be anywhere from 4 - 6 feet wide and tall. I suspect I won’t get flowers for a few years yet as it’s only like 2 years old now and probably 4 or 5 twigs wide and about 18 inches tall. Honest to dog, my long term goal is drinking my coffee next to my blooming lilacs. Someday… If my 8 year old wisteria bush is any predictor though, I’ll never get flowers. lol Those marigold companions are now as tall as my weed plants. Usually they are like 4 inches high. I’ve never seen any that big either.
You want to see big outdoor plants. Find my 2019 grow log and start from the bottom. lol Or you can just keep following this year as they start growing really fast starting this week actually. Most of my plants have almost doubled in size this week from all the long daylight hours.
@Sunvalley Hey buddy, should I wait until after my plants show sex to top them? It won’t stall that will it? They are about 2 feet now. They should show me their junk in about 2 weeks
I generally top before they show sex… i find that topping point generally is the 1st place a pistol or sack will show up… but if you wanna wait a week or 2 is not a biggie either… theres no real rule around topping plants besides personal preference i guess … but yeah for me its generally after a few nodes
