Those are some mighty fine trees you have, just catching up on your thread the ladies look outstanding seriously great job, sux about the bud rot sounds like chopping early is ur best option.hopefully the high humidity doesnt affect any of the other strains
Happy growing
So the milk went bad so Iâm drinking black coffee. Whoa do I feel hard core! I donât do sugar, but I like a little coffee in my cream. lol. Anyway, suffering through my coffee for bad asses, because desperate times call for desperate measures and notice half a rotten bud on the gdp. Sigh. Coffee in my garden isnât very relaxing and peaceful when you stroll around finding rotten bud. No cream and bud rot. Life always finds ways to fuck with us, doesnât it? This in particular is small torture. It could be worse, I know.
Stuck some ice in the coffee, somehow makes it less hard core going down lol
we hopes soâs
like OMG
Need some fans on them girls!
Well, I have the constant ocean breeze! lol I wish I had a dozen or so fans that I could actually run night and day from extension cords from an 80 year old house! Even if I had enough fans to cover 6 - 8 foot outdoor plants, I donât have the circuit breakers to run them.
Ahh⊠you got neighbors lol
Haha! Not sure how cool and mind their own business they would be about my trees and the smell if I did that. Might get lynched
So friends, letâs discuss amber trichomes
Just read an article about the maturity of âThe Budâ The article said that the THC degrades by 30% once the buds start turning amber. I was always under the impression that the bud got stronger or more body high like at amber. Obviously, I was wrong.
I always harvest at cloudy, but did wait until amber on my Dragonâs Blood Hashplant last year because fully ripe, the bud is like speed. Racy Racy and Racier even for this sativa girl. I didnât know that the thc was actually degrading, just thought it would mellow the racy and it did. The bud was super strong anyway, but it was a difference of night and day.
What are your reasons for amber harvesting if you are one of those people? Did you know that it weakens your bud? Is that why you do it?
Edit: Sorry to clarify⊠Once amber starts the thc has degraded 18%, by full amber itâs 30%
This also makes me question any thc percentage listed on a strain as obviously it could test one day at itâs peak ripeness at say 25% and a week later at what 23% (I didnât bust out my calculator, just estimated the 23%)
I smoked some amnesia haze like 6 months ago and loved it. Been smoking a different batch from another friend and itâs given me anxiety 2 days in a row. Done with this shit.

Degrade is a sloppy word. It makes the process sound inherently negative when some buds get better with that extra age. When the thc degrades it turns into cbn, which has more of a Valium effect. So even tho technically your DBHP might have had a lower thc concentration, it needed that cbn to balance it.

Also. Beautiful UFS. How are you liking the PVC cages?
That was interesting, Thanks! So essentially amber would be more ideal in an Indica, right? Most folks donât use sativa for sleep. lol
The cages are working great! The only thing I donât like about them is they allow dew to settle on them and sometimes they are wet.
Iâm loving the UFS spiral buds! They have really fattened up a lot and they are super hardy. Havenât found a single bug aside from spiders or any budrot on her yet. She is a brick house!
looks great @Meesh
THC potency is not as important as what you want / need for you
I use mj to relax and sleep better at night therefore I like more ambar and it doesnât matter what % of THC (as long as itâs potent ha ha )
THC is only a part of the mix of cannabinoids and terpenes which make up the overall effect for you
I am a winetester and give tastings professionally once in awhile and I always say that the best wine in the world is the wine that YOU like
go with what you need and like - period
good growing !!
Yeah, I personally donât choose plants based on how high the THC is, but I was just curious what the difference was, I mean seriously, look at me, skunks are probably in the really low side of the THC percentage and itâs my fave!
Almost forgot, Iâm loving that UFS now! Itâs all bud spears, barely any leaf. Much more bud to leaf ratio than the Skunk 1
@Worcestershire_Farms the only thing I didnât like about the CBN was the munchies side effect it mentioned. Ummmmm⊠funny story from like 10 mins ago. My stoner self got the munchies and decided at midnight that I needed an oreo shake.I grab the key, lock the bottom lock and shut the door. Lo and behold in my hand lied the key⊠to my weed!!!
Luckily, I gave my neighbor a spare key years ago for stoner incidents! Iâm sure glad she was awake!
You guys this premature Blue Dream is pretty delicious. Have a salvaged piece thatâs been lying around for a few days. Itâs harsh af, but itâs pretty darn tasty and stony. It has a sweet blueberry and fuel taste fresh dried. Itâs great after you cough up a lung. lol Iâm sure a cure will help too. I think itâs gonna be good, even if I end up taking her early. Actually a lot less racy on the onset too. Ripe I usually get some race for about 20 mins or so before it settles in.
âŠseeâŠ(?) this is where I think youâre an .
Itâs all backwards to me: harvest early for UP, late for STONEY, excepting CBD which should be early as possible, IIRC? Mr. @Sebring?
Funny u mention this, I was under the same impression as u about the amber tricomesand body high, have always run to about 30% myself, except this run we chopped earlier then planned. May have to rethink things
Thought I posted this last night my stoner ass lol
Tell your dad I think he did a great job on the net support structures!!
That racy amnesia Haze that was tripping your anxiety⊠you probably would have liked it better if it was harvested a week or 2 later.
Cheers
