2020 Cannabis with Meesh

Funny you should ask about the Spectral Tangerine @SamwellBB as I was gonna talk about it yesterday, but I had already posted like a stoned Blue Dream maniac all day, so I decided to wait until today.

The Spectral Tangerine is a kick ass outdoor strain. As you know, it started a month later than the rest and will be finished and harvested this Thursday. All of the pistils have turned to brown and the trichs are completely changing to cloudy as I write this. I had to estimate her doneness as I have to coordinate the take down team aka Dad on a day Iā€™m home and able to do it. Very sturdy, sativa like spears, early finisher, extremely bug and mold including pm resistant. Really a dream to grow outdoors. I just wish it had been able to go in the ground instead of the damn OG Kush that hermed. It does have a really funky smell that I canā€™t really nail down, kind of earthy, solvent like with a light citrus. Iā€™m super excited to try her out. I have my fingers crossed that I can tolerate the strain as Iā€™m so sensitive. Did I mention how easy she is? She would be ideal for a newb especially outdoors. She has been about the easiest darn strain out there to grow. I would have loved to see her in the ground. Iā€™ll let you guys know what I think of her fresh dried in about 2 weeks. Really looking forward to it.

I believe I will have less yield then last year (however, the Cheesuz Christ is probably more than I even think), but even having said that, I still have some of last years harvest we had to vacuum seal recently and I gave at least half of my bud away last year. It will be more than enough for me, dad and the man including plenty for me to give away. Honestly, if I only grew enough for the 3 of us I would be short as gifting my bud makes me happier than even smoking it. I know that I have helped at least 4 seniors alone by gifting a few pounds to my client last year. He gives me a really nice updates about how heā€™s spread the love around. If I can help even one persons pain with it or help out a senior whoā€™s on a fixed income, thatā€™s better than anything I can think of. Well, growing for Dad is number one, but you know what I mean.

Almost forgot to tell you guysā€¦ When I was picking caterpillar damage out of the GDP, I found a seed buried way in there. Guess that damn kush shot at least one wad. Oh well, I seriously think there wonā€™t be many more. Just kinda sucks that I had to trash the seed. It looked ripe enough too. hashtag noherms lol

Any of you ever hear of putting ice on the roots of your plants for 3 nights before harvest? I havenā€™t, but Dad saw some random video on YouTube and is absolutely insisting that I do it. So here I am going from market to market and finally found his damn ice. GDP has to come down on Thursday or it will be gone and the Spectral Tangerine is just ready. I have no idea what this is supposed to do.

Iā€™m getting ready to pack up the blue gelato for curing. Just sanitized the bucket and lid, waiting for it to be super dry. In the meantime, I checked the trichomes on the dried bud as I went hard core and washed the bud this time in a Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 solution. For anyone curious and especially @cannabissequoia even the H202 didnā€™t even remove or damage the trichs. Just an fyiā€¦Usually I wash in baking soda and lemon.

Washing your bud does absolutely nothing to your bud but clean off the dirt, kill bugs any neutralize and mold that may be on the plant.

The Blue Gelato is pretty disappointing, dry I probably packed up half a pound maybe a tad more. Good think I chopped her or it would have really been nothing. At least I got next to nothing lol

Broscienceā€¦ the theory is it simulates a winter frost and causes a stress responseā€¦

Ever tried it? Iā€™m too tired for Dadā€™s broscience. But I love him soā€¦ 15 bucks per day for ice, per plant. Sigh

no, I just keep watering like normal until harvest.

Iā€™ll save the ice for making hash.

It also cools down the roots and can bring out colors in your plants. Makes the plant think winter is here.

Mark was mentioning it to me the other night. Only way I know of it.

Well, we are about to find out about those colors as 1 of the plants that I started icing tonight is the Granddaddy Purple. lol Iā€™ll let you guys know if it does a damn thing. Fkn Dad.

Looking forward to seeing your results. If it works, you will be buying lots of iceā€¦:rofl:

And if it doesnā€™t, it may just overwater or kill my plants!  Good thing Iā€™m taking them down anyway.

Dad came by to do some defoliation on the 2 plants coming down on Thursday. Iā€™ve asked him to cut out bud rot that he finds also. Boy am I a control freak when it comes to my plants. Iā€™m out there like someoneā€™s Mom scolding Dad. ā€œDonā€™t you dare go from plant to plant with those pruners, without using the alcohol wipesā€ā€¦ ā€œMake sure you cut the leaves, donā€™t pull them with your handsā€ Iā€™m like Charlie Brownā€™s Momā€¦ Wha Wha Wha Wha   OMG! I canā€™t help myself! Iā€™m staying inside for the rest of the time heā€™s out there.
