2020 Cannabis with Meesh

Hi @Meesh I’m good thanks just been a bit busy with life. Certain strains seem to amplify pains in my body. It’s weird, I’ve noticed quite recently that when I’m stoned I kind of tense up and end up lying in weird positions. Even though I feel relaxed my body sort of tenses up. Then I end up with pains in my neck and shoulders.

Good to see you buddy! I missed your crazy self. It’s not as fun without you here making jokes and freaking me out with your creepy crawly pets.

Some bodacious blue dream buds. Too bad they are riddled with bud rot

Sorry to hear that. Such beautiful buds! I’m not sure but maybe it would be safe to make some oil or hash out of the rot

I can’t imagine what would be wrong with making oil from the rot because it’s not the resin in the bud that’s bad It’s the vegative part.

Wow, those BD duds are insane. I guess I shouldn’t complain about my super dry humidity so much.

I was looking at the plants this morning and enjoying seeing them so healthy this year with nice looking flowers, and then I said to myself “my plants would be so much bigger if I had humidity” … lol. I’m going to walk that back now, heh. I suppose I should consider myself lucky.

So sorry to see such quality work go down to rot. That’s heartbreaking. Make sure you at least pick out some good stuff for you. There has to be a few clean spots.

I wonder if you could put fans on them to help? I guess they don’t make backyard fans that big… lol.

Best vibes with the trimming. Play loud music. I have to make my igloo again today for my big one. We have a light freeze coming in two nights and for two nights. No snow so it shouldn’t be as bad as the last one.

Thank dog the one needs more time than the SSDD. It’ll take a while to trim her out. Then I have 10 potted plants to do as well. They’ll be a breeze compared to the large ones.

I got lucky this year. Aside from limbs missing from early hail storms I haven’t had the moths and the aphids never took hold on the plants. I have herds of lady bugs living in my bushes and they fornicate a lot, heh. I can’t find an aphid on the big girls. No PM so far. Maybe a small spot on the big one from hosing down the leaves but it may just be water spots.

Time to go to work herding the plants. They may have another week or so. Some may call to come down this week but they seem to be happy just swelling on up. Gonna be 89 today with lots of sun. peace :peace_symbol:

I just went back and caught up on the posts I missed. Maybe you should plant a little later and let them grow a tad smaller? That’s terrible to have them all affected.

@Meesh unfortunately I have joined you in probably cutting at least one plant down too soon as the caterpillars have started on her
the beanz are mature so it’s not a problem but wanted to wait a week more to get more ambar in the buds - so it goes
I forgot to answer you about the Spectral Tangerine x Stardawg - I have never grown that one out
I grew the Spectral Tangerine out and liked it alot but it was daytime smoke for me - nice positive sativa buzz but at night not a good thing for me

Sorry to hear about all the budrot and bugs. High humidity is the devil

My sinuses :nose: love it though :joy:

I did it because of aphids. And I wanted Indica. :cookie:

Too much Sativa when you really need Indica is a conundrum. :confounded: End up having to go way overboard to get that quick sleep but only after a 1/2 hour of trippin.

:+1: I’d make bubblehash & then use for cooking or smoking.

Fuck yeah!!!

It’s hard to tell from the pics because I didnt give you any type of scale, but the buds were fatter than a pringles can.

After pulling apart all 4 top colas they all had to go in the trash. Even the pieces we had cut out trying to save it didn’t help. Actually seemed like it made it spread faster. Found only 3 spots on any of the actual stems that had mold starting, but luckily it hadn’t made it inside the plant yet, so I don’t think it went systemic. A few more days and I think it would have. The real test will be the dry and cure. Almost all of the spears had something we had to cut out. I did a second inspection before the bud bowl trimmer, prying them open to look for rot . Hopefully we were thorough enough as those buds were so dense. If those had all made it to finish, it would have been 2 lbs dry easily

I forgot to mention how horrible the smell of that much weed drying inside the house is. Only place with elements conducive. I love the smell of cannabis until you have like 7 wet pounds drying in the next room. Cloying and overwhelming. Really disgusting actually. Gives me a headache. It’s gonna be a month or so of it. I’m now remembering this from last year as I’m bombarded with the scent again.

What the Blue Dream? I believe I read it was the top selling strain on the west coast for 3 years straight

Yes your blue dream and everything yo. The cheapest weed prices around here and the whole state of Illinois is nowhere. Lots of my buddies buy from there dealers still.

Honestly the weed around quincy Illinois sucks. Unless you know someone like me. Lol but seriously

Our dispensary prices in Cali have tripled since recreational weed was passed. Cheaper on the black market. Most of it is the 30% tax the various govts have put on it. It’s why I started growing my own.
I really didn’t think it through when I voted yes on legalization. It was much better when it was Medical only. For some crazy reason, I thought it would drive the prices down and eradicate a lot of the Mexican cartel activity. I should have known better. That’s Cali for you.

btw… I never sell my weed. I’m an Accountant, weed just isn’t my business. But, that’s just me. I only give it away.

Hey @SamwellBB just out of curiosity… If you were to get say systemic botrytis on a seeded plant, would it destroy the seeds? Like make them sterile or die or something? I’ve never seeded a plant on purpose, don’t know much about it.
