2025šŸ§€ - Dinafem Cheese Seed Run

Yoooo thank you so much, that is incredibly kind!!! :open_mouth:

I’m planning on doing a multi-variety cheese hunt next year, so if you are down to share, I’d be honored to hunt through a few of them! :slightly_smiling_face:

That combination of bannana, berry, earthy parmesan sounds fire :fire:

I’m running an auto right now called Gummibears for no reason because it’s straight up Parmesan and lemon🤣 even the description on the site says Parmesan, fuel, lemon so I don’t get the name lol

I swear, some people really need to reevaluate their strain names and how they match their aroma profile.

I can understand ā€œGummy Bearsā€ being something with Zkittlez in it or Lemon Cherry Gelato, but if that thing comes out reeking like someone squeezed citrus on a cheese platter, maybe something like ā€œCharcuterie Boardā€ might be a better fit. :woman_shrugging:

Luckily it’s something I got as a freebie and I didn’t just grab something off the strain name and also I love cheese strains so it works :joy:

I can definitely supply you the stl file for my flow hood design. I unfortunately don’t print them anymore as I’m currently looking for another large build plate printer. You will need a build plate the same size as a ender 5 plus or bigger. I guess I could redesign it to print in 4 peices and just glue or silicone the gaps. Hmmmm  now you got me thinking! :thought_balloon: To the drawing board :joy:

@TheHereticCatgirl if you are interested in the file send me a dm. :v:

Hey all, it’s been a hot minute!
Currently end of term and I have been STRESSING. :grimacing:
Exams and projects due have been getting me down, so I’ve not been in the headspace to post. However nearing the end, so here’s an update! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just hit week 4 of flower, and here is how my plants are looking.

Tops are developing really really nicely!
No smells coming off the plants, but the development seems to be going well. Each plant had had a feeding of blood and bone to hopefully see it through to harvest, and I am regularly watering with silica.

Everything got a big defoliation to make sure all of the bud sites were exposed to light, and the new leaves seem to be coming in to suck up all of it. So far, so good

Also decided to move the clones into the tent, as the light may be better for developing bigger flower clusters.

The dinafem cheese clones took a HAMMERING from the silver thiosulfate, but seeing the black lemon rot downstairs partially reverse, I’m optimistic. :crossed_fingers:

I think the key I need to take away from this is that I need to make sure that I apply my silver thiosulfate at least a week before I flip, just to ensure that their ethylene receptors are nice and saturated with silver BEFORE they get the signal to flower. :slightly_smiling_face:

Will be pollinating the black funk dawg in the next few days, and isolating that branch, and the rest in the tent will be exposed to whatever Dinafem Cheese fem pollen comes off the clones.

Here’s hoping for good seeds! :crossed_fingers:

TBH I start soaking the plants once they show true leaves. My logic is that all the growth will 100% be affected by treatment as it’s growing in while betting sprayed.

When I started at flip or a little before it took a bit for the stuff to flow though the plant material and change it vs fuck with it as it’s growing.

EVERYTHING LOOKS FANTASTIC!!

YOU GOT THIS REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING TESTS!

:hugs:

Soaking as soon as you see leaves? Smart!
Yeah, it really seems that the ethylene block needs to be there before the flower tissues develop, so good call! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thankfully I DO have everything backed up in tissue culture, so if I want to make some more seeds in future, I will just propagate some, root them, and then isolate. As you say, silver thiosulfate from the beginning, in that case. :muscle:

Thank you very much for the kind words and well wishes, my friend! :slightly_smiling_face:
I’m so hoping that I can get through this statistics exam relatively unscathed. Let’s hope I can make this a good harvest too!

Hey thanks @Conor_c @TonesOwn @thatdankbassist !

I’m happy to report that the exam went okay! :slightly_smiling_face:
As you say Conor, stats is brutal. I spent so long trying to memorize the ANOVA test procedure that it kind pushed out how to do poisson distribution, so that question stumped me. :smiling_face_with_tear:
That said, I think my mark will be okay. :+1:

And bassist, I couldn’t agree more. I have 3 classes left, and I am so done with having to repeat the cycle of just ā€œmemorize thing, repeat thing, prove you know thing on exams and assignmentsā€. I just want my damn degree. :grimacing:

Almost there then at least! I go back and fourth feeling if it was worth it or not, but at the end of the day I’m glad I saw it through at least. I probably wanted to drop out at least once a year
