there’s your buzz-name bingo. leafly ‘strain of the year’ 2024 is Super Boof. I think Cap Junky was a runner-up.

I suspect if you can get a legit sativa blue dream, folks would lose their mind. Thats one of the popular old school strains that still has been kinda elusive. Had blueberry hashplant that had distinct blue dream terps and so many people freaked out thinking i had blue dream.

Runtz and zkittles are a bit played out in my area but they’re still popular. Permanent marker and a lot of the top strains from leafly have been or are getting there too. Still smoke a good amount of runtz though, i like that strain quite a bit. Haven’t grown either but would probably go for runtz over zkittles since ive heard legit zkittles grows really slow and a good runtz will have a lot of the same flavors especially if crossed to another candy line.

For modern, my favorites are pyxie styx crosses, any legit bruce banner cross, and GMO crosses. I find GMO usually hangs a nice balance between new school and old school funk.

Great summation. :+1:

I have avoided the Runtz & Zkittles until now but I see I should investigate them, at the very least, to round off my education and experience…

So I just texted him to find out.
Nice to see you also, we had chatted a bit on previous forum.

I will say, there are many knockoffs that give them a bad name. Best advice i can give would be to follow your nose, if it doesnt smell pungent, pass on by.

Zkittles should have a pungent candy sweet smell that borders on the fruit pallet.

Runtz can range anywhere from oily tar funk to sweet candy depending on the specific cross. Blue runtz was a particular favorite of mine. One of the few strains ive come across that had something similar to blue dream terps and effects

We just got Miller back in Ny, and Pasta gets a hattie. dang.

Zkittlez is kinda tricky to grow, from what I’ve seen. it’s like. Grape Ape x Cinderella. I grew cindy back in like 2000, and it was a beautiful sativa. the kind of stuff we didn’t see much of.

Runtz is just a beast of a plant. big ol thick leaves. very easy. Slusherz was amazing. Runtz x slurricane.

GMO just produces. its GSC x Chemdawg, kinda like a sour diesel. washes really heavy, usually up in the 30% range. All the names are “garlic” now, cuz no one wants a GMO-modified genetic.

Wedding Cake is half of the HSC “blueberry cupcake”. gets really sticky like 40-45 days into flower.

Jealousy, i have a little one in a solo cup going now. kinda wish i took a cutting to grow in the summer. We got a gram of some Jealousy wax, and then my gf’s going thru my fb msg’s all jealous. like. wow. didn’t expect that from that one. it was kinda funny. I did nothing wrong, but she thought so.

I grew that Blimburn Blue Dream, and actually got a real nice plant out of it. It was next to the Apples & Banana, which is pretty similar, w/ that Blue Power in it. Super tasty stuff. It was way closer to the old early 2000’s blueberry than any of the HSC stuff. finished pretty early.

Your first line confused me, but after a joint I caught the reference. Nice to see them win.
I might go on Wednesday at the garden my apprentice has seasons tickets. I teach him welding and for every hour doing that I get two hours assistance in garden. So along with welding he is learning the ins and outs of growing cannabis.
In the beginning of March I will start my 16 strains in my tent 4 will be given away as NY rules are 12 max.

Well… if you’re gonna follow the law, NY state is “6 mature, 6 immature” per household. 3 and 3 if just 1 person. So. you’re gonna be over that if they’re all mature at the same time. but. for the most part if you’re near the limit, its not much of an issue. We had a bust a few months ago, farm had 600+ plants.

The laws are terrible. then we got Seneca Nation out here on the reservation, and they’ve got their own sets of laws. and $60 QP’s (4oz) at the store… which is above the 3oz carry limit. ugh. so much gray area.

MSG is fun for games… wear your Rangers jersey!! oh. wait. you’re cheering for the wrong team! haha. I’ve been to so many Gardens. MSG. TD. MapleLeaf.

@koikeeper the above info is correct. 3 veg 3 flowering per person max of 6 veg 6 flowering per household. If you have a medical card it’s double
