An update on the campaign

Things are starting to take off here with major growth over the last week or so. Been blessed with ample sunshine and rain in good measure and a couple of feeds since the last update. Been keeping an eye out for pests. So far, so good.

Golden Putang

A sativa-leaner, she is 5 feet tall and the stretch only started in the last week or so. She smells like sweet pineapple and that has not changed since the get go. She is going to be a tall girl! I only hope I don’t run out of vertical space in the nets.

I’ve been doing a little LST and defoliation of some extraneous fan leaves

5-Star #1

She is untopped and has a sweet incense nose. Kind of reminds me of Jack.

5-Star #2

At the moment she smells like hash.

5-Star #3

Critical #2 #1

Showing some nice bud development and starting to frost.

Critical +2 #2

The Mystery Strain?

Showing some variagation.

And the Malawi x NL sisters.

Displaying their NL heritage

Ok gang, Neem oil or BT?
So I’m setting up the security system for this grower, outdoor, older gentleman. We stopped at Home Depot and he mentions he has to swing by the grow store to get some BT for ‘you know, thrips and beetles and bugs and mites…’ So I casually say, ‘you know BT is really only for caterpillars.’ And helloooo Mr Grumpy Pants all the sudden.
'You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about! I thought you’ve been doing this for a long time, I thought you were a real grower. ’ Blah, blah, blah.
So we get to the grow store, and he obviously knows the owner, and he picks out some stuff, and says, ‘can you believe this idiot? He thinks that BT is only for caterpillars!’ and he laughs. Smugly.
Awkward moment of silence and the owner says, ‘Uh, well, that’s true.’
My inner smugness reached an entirely new level. After the owner educated him, or tried to, briefly, about the differences between BT, BTK, BTi, and I think BT galleriae, and I broke weak and said well, it’s not like exclusively caterpillars, but in general…
Anyways. Saw some bugs. Wifey says, oh, do you need some of those yellow sticky squares? (Note: I didn’t grow last year due to medical stuff) I blinked. Oh yeah, the basket. Earth Ally, my sticky squares, insect killing soap… . My bag of diatomaceous earth, my pressure sprayer, measuring cups, all came back to me in a growers dream. All I need now, is the Zerotol for the fall. Ahhh, it’s good to be back.

Yessir. I always wanted to live on a lake, but there’s so many brooks, creeks, rivers and pond here, including the mighty CT. River. But, yeah, your surroundings are amazing.

A buddy of mine switched from BT over to Spinosad. Still organic, wider pattern, if you take my meaning
