Your JH looks so much different than mine…
I cut 3 branches this afternoon and started trimming.
Bud from 3 days ago…just starting to see some amber, so took 3 branches today. And so it starts:

Dang… well. Not really. those pix are well into flowering. weeks ahead of yours. I cleaned out anything inside the cages. like the lower halves, and only got good top buds. it worked out well with that one.
Ya. mine had those big skunky battleship bugle looking leaves, with a wrinkle fold in them. 5’s n 7’s. yours are looking more 3’s and 5’s.
Here’s the pix from the next month of finishing out.
Please don’t take this wrong, but these look pretty far from done…
Lol, I was totally confused at first, thought these were outdoor plants until I saw the tent.![]()
Do you perhaps have outside lights, maybe security lights that come on? I’ve seen conditions where unnatural light interference can up the male ratio and change fems to herms as well.
On another note, NEW ENGLAND POISONOUS PLANT ALERT
New England has some very interesting plants, some useful and medicinal, some edible, and some deadly. This one grows in Alpha and Charlie patches, it is called BITTERSWEET NIGHTSHADE, and is extremely poisonous. Just handling it can cause irritation of the skin, especially if you accidently touch it, then wipe the sweat off your face. But the real danger is the berries. They start green and grow to bright red. The flowers are small and purple, and bees are constantly on it. Larger Bumbler bees, the fuzzy ones, not the small stingum bees. Here’s the pics.
where’s the tent?! cuz… my 2x4 is still in a box. I really need to get my clones in there, to keep them in veg.
Ya… sorry. outdoor thread. but. we were discussing the strain.
I realize that, I was not trying to be the post police, lol. Just saying I was confused, happens when you get old.,![]()
Some of the buds are getting some amber trichs. This has been a strange season, and that plant is one of the strangest. It went into flower immediately after getting planted out, which was back around the beginning of June.
I have tons of this growing around my deck.
Amber trichs are one sign. I usually go by the trichs specifically on the calyx. Cost me a whole crop before someone here told me that. For me, personally I use several indicators. Plant near the end of its life, many of the leaves yellowing, sometimes I’ll check the stalk,.if I can pinch it and it’s very hollow. Loupe checking the trichs, majority of hairs on bud have changed color to red or purple, no or very little white. An old hippy told me, 'let it go as long as you can stand it. Then give it two more weeks.'![]()
Ah, I think I’ve got one of those growing on a fence I walk past all the time.
Where I’m located there are several factors at play, and as I said, I like to harvest in stages when possible.
This morning, every plant out there is soaking wet, covered in dew. I’ll be going out to shake everything soon, but it’s a fine line.
I harvested an auto that was a bit past done, and it had 2-3 spots of bud rot…had just started.
Here’s some pics from '22, like a couple weeks into Sept.
They should look a bit smaller than this, what’s growing now, but I’m far from it😟 It’s definitely gonna be down to the wire Im thinking about cutting and trimming down a LOT of bottom branches and even a few of the smaller plants. Before n after shots tonight maybe. Def gonna spray Cap Jacks 4 in 1 too. Busy here at PVOG’s!
Oh no. Dreaded. Rot. Didn’t realize you had autos going, sweet. You’ll def make out better than the hippy growin regs, lol. I have had the pleasure of growing autos and doing harvesting in stages. But now that I’m older and pretty much disabled, I find it easier, for me, try and have one cycle. That way I can spray them, feed them, clip them, and basically do everything on one schedule. I sure did used to like them early skunk buds. Hop you happened to see the pics I just posted from '22☮️
I only had the one auto. Everything else is photo, but as I said, very weird year with some plants going into flower in July.
Very weird bloody weather.
And the ten day forecasts are like spin the bottle due to the sudden changes
At least with this major temperature drop, watering has eased up a bit. I was having to do the tomatoes on my deck 2X daily, and the plants in the field pretty much every day.
They look like peppers, I could have eaten one easily
Hey BlackPegasus, welcome to OG and the Northeast Growers corner.
Let us know roughly where you are, and what you like to grow.
I always thought regs produce more potent medicine than autos? Are you saying from an ease of harvest standpoint?
