@HappyGoLucky21
My runoff on seven of the nine plants run between 1000 and 1400. They’re doing fine. Two are up near 1700. I’m watching those closely but so far their OK, just not looking happy. They get just pH water the next two waterings (maybe three) until the numbers come down into the 1200 range.
I’m trying to keep the numbers around 1000 - 1200.
If it gets over around 1700 I plan to take action.
That’s just a newbie feeling his way but it has worked so far.
Hope any of that helped.
Thanks, i am going to keep an eye out on them! Hope all is well with you and the girls.
I don’t use my ppm. To much. . I go by the way they look. But reg. are so forgiven. I look at the FoxFarm feeding. I don’t go bye it . Less is more to me. You can always stretch your plants out another week or so for them to catch up. That’s what I do I’ll just run them a little longer. I’m almost at eight weeks on some of mine that should be ready by then but they’re not because I haven’t pushed. Getting a milky color. Almost ready. I’ll look at the salt rings. Sometimes I’ll just give them just water. When the leaves start to lighten up. Nice and fanned out. I’ll juice them up. Remember those people want to sell you a product they want you to use as much as possible. I will use Neptune and Alaskan fish fertilizer to save money. Each grower will have their own method and you will get yours. The smell is bad. Fish it. Works great. Real pricey. Like @MoBilly said. Water
. That funny
You’re never going to have a perfect runoff in my opinion. Each plants gonna take up more than the other. It’s good to ask these questions. I don’t know all the answers either. I’m still learning also still figuring out what you need to do and what you really don’t need to do. Worrying about something that’s not worth worth worrying about. When I run the big light I’m around it all the time. It stresses me out. I’m pretty much done for a minute after this run I’ll have some small ones gone. The autos are almost 4 feet tall. In the container
I married Mother Nature…lol
The girls are fine thanks.
I haven’t been able to put much in my journal lately, just running my backside off elsewhere.
But yeah they have a couple of issues like I said. The yellowing is slightly worse but not a problem for now. I’m doing just pH for a while. PPM is down to about 1550 on those two now.
Interesting thing. You know I went with several mixtures of mediums right?
The two that are running high PPM have the same mixture so I’m learning what I set out to learn, I just have to put up with the specific needs of each individual.
Which, really, I should anyway but catch myself being lazy and doing them all generically. Live and learn.
I’m lazy. Lol. To much sometimes.
@HappyGoLucky21 i do notice that the Fox Farm does run high. Almost 2100. In my opinion that’s way to high. I’m sure I’m running around 1500 and maybe higher on the ones I topped with other things. That I forget I do. They get a little hot. Lol
All but two of mine are running 1000 - 1300, except those two. They are growing in a mixture of HF / worm castings / and Perlite. 2/1/1
I’m using four different mixtures of mediums this grow. I knew watering and nutes might be a pain but I wanted a readers digest version instead of trying four different grows.
I’ve got a real good idea what my next run will be in.
I cant wait to play around with all that once i get the basics.
Your plants look strong Happy. It’s a good feeling, right? I love it.
I’m just one of those guys that wants to soak in the knowledge as fast as possible.
Sometimes I rush it and have to back up and regroup but that’s just me. My middle gear never worked. This is actually my third grow but I’ve squeezed every ounce of knowledge I could out of them.
Welcome to OG I’m new here too, I grew my autos, my first grow, on 18/6 in the tent after 24 in the propagator.
My timer died after a power outage and my led fixture in the tent ran 24 on so I left it for a few days before changing back to 18/6 and saw no better growth with the continuous light.
Those little girls look good mate, I water a little and often.
Thank you! I am the same way suck in that knowledge like a sponge. I love gardening now, my great grandmother would be proud (Not sure with Cannabis) but she loved to garden. Everyone here is amazing when it comes to help.
Thank you , i had the power go out not to long ago. One full day no light and the temps started to creep to mid 60s (cold weather) .
Welcome to OG, let me know if you get a grow started here. Would love to tag along .
I’m half way though a grow at the moment but will get one going next time.
My dad was an avid gardener like your grandmother but the neatest he got to our plant of choice was tomatoes😁
I’m with you on that one Hemp, what with temps and rh to control ppm is the last of my worries I like you try to read the leaves and general appearance of the plants and yeah no two are the same, its nature after all.
I have been lucky with the power this year. The wind has been bad.
Ahhhh its deep feeding day and i forgot to set out 5 gallons of water to evaporate the nastyness.
Will one water / feed hurt the girls using straight tap that smells of chlo?
@Floyd @Eagles009 @anon62804309 @MoBilly @Techworm @DougDawson
In my experience, no, I’ve considered forgoing this whole letting water sit out thing for one plant and see for myself. I Water my seedlings in those little bags straight from the bathroom sink faucet on a low stream.
That said we could have very different water…I assume.
