That’s looking great bud. I might wait a few more days as I still see a couple white pistols but I think it’s safe to say you are in the harvest window. More time wont hurt any for sure but great job bud.

Nice grow… I would give the widow few more days like Doug said I pulled one of mine early last grow,kept one in the tent couple more days makes a lot of difference

I had to clip a few sugar leaves just to get into the actual bud on some that were bushy. I don’t think it hurt them at all and I got right on the bud nice and clean.
Something to consider.

… and I always look at several at different locations so to get an ‘overall average’ of what you are looking at. For instance, just as the trikes on sugar leaves go amber before the buds, the top buds will go amber earlier than the buds in the middle of the plant.
Its always something, right? Bottom line is that i let more of my top buds to get amber than the middles. Like 20%+ in the tops will have about 10% in the mid buds. Hope that makes a little sense.

Thank you all so much! On my feeding chart a couple days will be week 11 then flush on 12. I did notice that white pistol on all of them. Good rule of thumb once the top pistol changes @DougDawson or could it just very. Thanks again last grow buds were all fluffy and I’m liking these girls this round.

It depends. In your case the canopy is pretty even so it all counts. I try not to even look at trichomes until all those pistils recede. With taller plants you will get white pistils on the lowers because they did not get as much light and as such did not develop as much. In cases like these I harvest the taller main colas and leave the lowers another week or 2 to fully mature. Works well, in your case that is not needed.
I would also say keep in mind that sometimes they will throw a few white pistils when they are all finished. I find this happens allot when I don’t turn my lights down the last couple weeks of flowering. In mid flower I am cranked up to 100%, by lowering the last couple weeks down to say 50 or 60 % slowly a few points a day it seems to avoid those extra pistils and also helps it from foxtailing.
One more note as I am babbling here. The last 2 or 3 weeks of flower the buds will not grow much but they fatten. Many don’t realize this as the buds don’t seem to be getting bigger but what they are doing is becoming more dense. I let my last ones flower for 13 weeks no counting the 2 weeks after flip. It makes a big difference between fluffy and solid. Not all strains grow very dense but I like to get them as dense as I can.

You got it going on! You won’t be upset for harvesting within the week. An Old Fart one told me, “If there is any question… Wait another week.” A little drastic but you get the point.

There are as many different methods to harvesting as there are methods of growing. Strive to find what works best for you (within general guidelines of course ).

That is really good advice. It is really hard to over ripen a plant but super easy to chop to early. Buds that feel dense when wet go fluffy when 75% to 80% evaporates while drying. Like your last comment says though, many methods and one must find what works best for them. When it comes to my plants I always figure I have room for improvement.

Thank you and @BigMike55 ! Just got back around and this is solid great information. I will definitely wait as I took a look around and all still have white pistols. Schedule has one more very small nute feed and the next week flush. I’m very interested in taking and leaving the bottom buds but would be afraid of doing something crazy and killing everything

Hey Fam Happy almost Fathers day!
Each day i say ill wait another before shutting the lights off before chop. I notices growth still coming from a few tops. Would i wait for these to open up? Sorry if a stupid question =)
