2ND Auto Grow 3 Sourgirls 3 White widows

@HappyGoLucky21
I believe, if I’m not mistaken, the new growth you see is the beginning of foxtailing.
Can you put up a shot of the trichomes on the old growth part of the buds and one or two of the new growth trichomes?

Yup. The first pic looks foxtailly to me. Depending on what you are growing for, personal or other, i would just let them go until the trikes on the original buds are ready. But i only grow for myself and dont really care much if the buds dont look like professional trimmed bud. Those foxtails will still be smokable. Just wont look as pretty in the jar.

Oh no, I want them to be pretty , I think I may shut lights off for two days then chop?
This plants the only one doing this.

Any time. I agree with @BigMike55.
I had two plants with foxtails last grow. They smoked just fine but I grow just for me. It’s medicine. It doesn’t have to be pretty, just work. :slight_smile:

Now, I have heard of others just nipping those off and letting the bud grow out a little more. It works either way. Or, of course, chop it. That works too.
Just giving options.

If it means that much to have pretty buds, I have harvested normally and snip the foxtails off after drying. Or you could just harvest the one plant and let the others remain ripening

The last time I ran some WW Autos, I had four, one I killed for acting funny, and I don’t know why, (scuse me, while I kiss th’ sky), and out of the remains 3, 2 went to foxtails. And very airy loose buds too. I was disappointed in them but after a nice cure it’s not too bad. Gets a nice Buzz to go with morning coffee.

Dont understand the question I dont mean cut them off while the plant is alive although you could probly do so without hurting much. In my experience foxtailling usually happen very late in flower if its going to do so. I was saying you could cut the plant with the foxtails. Just harvest her. And leave the others to finish. Just another option. Or leave them alone. When you harvest, after drying, you can just snip of those guys and put them with you trim stuff. You will hadly notice the foxtail had been cut. The bud will still look good.

Hey bud, what are you lights set at? I found foxtails seem to happen in late flower when I don’t turn my lights down towards the end. Usually lowering the intensity halts that particular issue. Well that’s what I have found anyway. Now you could just clip them off if you like now or when trimming. Those tails smoke just fine though so I would not worry about them at this point personally.

I never turned my lights down =(. Full blast until I shut the light off at 1 PM today. Figured all look pretty much done. A couple white hairs but not many. I now know for next time to turn lights down. What do you turn yours to? I have about 10 notches on the knob for the light power level.

I don’t turn my sf4000 down because the adjustment is inside the casing but the sf2000 will be turned down to about 75 - 80% and the 4000 will be raised to around 26" above the canopy during the last two weeks of flower.

Officially 1 full day drying. Took the light out and got the room to to about 74F and humidity changing every hour. For the most part its staying between 45-60%RH with 4 fans blowing around in the dark with my wife’s rolling clothes hanging rack lol .

I snapped a picture but heard light is bad in drying and curing stage. Is a glance here and there ok with pictures?

Thanks in advance
