2nd Grow, Indoor/Outdoor, shooting for 2 harvests this summer

Maybe 1 or 2 more nodes to go and I will remove her restraints.
Cant see it in the photo but the stem is not touching the soil.

Getting better at drying, got a full 8 days on this girl, think I will get 10 days on the next 2 girls drying now.

Came out to 32g. Lazy trim job I know, but its just me smoking it. Definitely better than the zSkittelz weed I have been smoking for the last 6 months. When I first trimmed the sugar leaves the buds glistened and sparkled. Very sticky as well.

I have about a weeks worth of the zSkittelz left and then I will have to start smoking this. Hopefully a 2 week cure will take the green edge off. Will do a proper smoke report after I get a decent cure. I did blaze a couple buds and it hit me hard, right behind the eyes, and then spread to a body high after that. Tastes green, with no cure, but nonetheless I could taste the terps trying to burst through.

I will go one more node and then let the main cola go vertical. That should give me around a dozen+ cola sites.

Still looking for what is feasting on the leaves. The only thing I have seen is a millipede which generally only eat the dead stuff.

My kinda trim job, theres a lot of frost on the leaves. I hate to waste it. Once I grind it up you never know :+1:t2:

Much happier with my current drying config now. Considering I have been dealing 90f+ and 80%+ rH all week, I think she has held conditions pretty good. I am now getting a nice slow 8-10 day dry, and I think I can improve on that, even in the heat of summer.

I have some ideas on how to hack my AC and Dehumidifier so I can keep them out side of the tent and just direct the air into a 4" vent booster fan/hose and then into the tent. That should solve my problem of creating too strong of a negative pressure inside the tent, which only pulls in more hot humid ambient air.

I am thinking that if I take one of these and attach it to the outside of the grill where the air comes out of the AC, I can hook up a 4" hose and booster fan to move the cool air inside the tent. So I will change the tent from being negative pressure to being positive pressure. The advantage being that the negative pressure wont be pulling hot/humid air anymore. Less heat and moisture load to have to overcome.

Got 2 girls left in the tent that I believe will come out tonight.

I generally trim at 65-68%rH and then put it in a jar and burp for a day or 2 (or spread the buds out in the tent) if it needs to lose little moisture. When I get down to 63-65% rH I bag them in Grove bags and forget about them until I need the weed.

OK, I think I am just going to let her grow now. As the side branches grow straight up I will use some LST to spread them out so that all the extremities get good sun.

Meager looking start, but I have gotten a huge return when I have done this before.

Trimmed up the 2 girls that were in the Tent. Got a little over an Oz each. The rH was at 64% so I bagged them in Grove bags. Will do a proper smoke report after it cures a bit. What I can say so far is that I started smoking on the 1st girl that I bagged last week. The green is dissipating nicely and the terps are starting to shine through now. Beautiful resinous flowers that are glittery and sticky. Killer buzz, damn good weed! The terps in this seems to expand in the lungs, I cant hit this stuff too deep, but smaller bong hits are wonderful. I want more of these seeds, love the smoke.

My last plant outdoors that I took a photo of 3 weeks ago didnt behave as expected. See the last photo above, the girl started flowering 2 day later. Lots of buds on her, might get enough yield to roll a decent sized joint is all. Not sure what I did wrong but I have a cool looking micro plant. Letting her finish, because why not, but she isnt going to help me much in the stash dept.

Putting the tent back together and doing some test runs.

After hacking that portable AC I am now ready to deal with the occasional hot day, so I plan on going live with the next by Sept 1st. Back to rDWC and the tent for me.

Thx for the update!

I bet you’ll be way happier moving back indoors. What’s the seed menu for the next grow?

The plumbing for your DWC looks elegant.

Yeah, I think I will be happier too. Lots of variables involved in this thing we do, but I strongly feel there are fewer uncontrollable variables inside the tent.

Thanks about the plumbing, it was just cobbled together from parts I have laying around. I am having to redo the nutrient supply line as it leaked during testing. Replaced the grommets with proper bulkheads where the supply enters the tank.

This is all still prototyping, finding out what works, just using spare parts I have laying around. The next build I will make a parts list from scratch and order everything. For example, that 1" overflow line needs some unions in it to make it serviceable.

Check out the AC modification. I have figured out how to keep the AC unit outside the tent so it doesnt cause such a vacuum in the tent, now it causes a slight pressurization which is actually beneficial. Tested it an it works great, allows me to run the tent even with lights full throttle at 90F ambient.

Upgraded my sump/reservoir as well.

Those autos are a different animal for sure. I’ll try again next year outdoors.
