3 or 4 leaf after topping

Good morning OG!! i have read these leaf deformations after topping are normal. I guess i haven’t seen them previously, but maybe its happened before? Any feedback ol wise ones?

Its a Bruce Banner fyi.

Be patient and the plant will grow new leaves. The leaf deformation may be pH related. What is your growing medium? What are you feeding? Do you adjust for pH?

This is in miracle grow slow release soil. They receive ro water which is about 6.5. My runoff also hovers around 6.5. They do receive a dilute tiger bloom solution when rooting in the rockwool. I dont think anything is wrong per say, but was curious if others experience this immediately after topping, as in the first new leaf.

Looks like you FIM’d it on accident. Still looks fine :+1::heart:

Not uncommon, i have had a few strains that will do that if i take too many clones or top heavily at once.

My Chem 91 does this, stresses it. Seen it with Mac1 as well.

I see it a lot, thought it was normal - I am not a thoughtful topper though.

I think your right. Kinda embarrassing because this is for a friend. Lol

Don’t be embarrassed at all, FIM’ing is almost always a “happy accident” and results in bushier more excited growth than a clean topping :ok_hand::heart:

My first thought also!

No biggie @buddy311. Don’t be embarrassed. It’s likely a happy accident!:slightly_smiling_face:

I experimented with FIM’n when I started growing. Just for fun. It can definitely lead to some wild growth.
I actually just intentionally did it to a few plants the other day. I’m interested to see what comes of them.

Honestly maybe thats what I’ve been doing the whole time, but thinking i was topping. I have had friends grow the same strain and be surprised because mine looks different. Hilarious. Thanks for answering my question and teaching me something.
