So no air gap at all?
I’m about 2 days from dropping into pots.
Figured with a small compressed puck of peat, compost, perlite on top of hydroton in net, I’d set level at about the very bottom of the :puck and do the turbo.
I was worried about too much wicking but you have this down to a science.

No there’s a small air gap but not much half inch maybe
this is my first run with the minis so I’m still figuring it out myself they haven’t caused me any issues so far. I lost one plant out of 27 transplanted so far.
I was hoping the growth wouldn’t be as strong as it is in the Octopot and it appears that that is so. The plants appear to be setting up for a smaller frame then they would in full size octos which is exactly what I wanted to happen.
The first set are halfway through the stretch and when they’re done stretching I’ll know how successful I was at my plan but right now it’s looking to be spot on. i’m hoping to just throw a bungee net over the top of them and be done with it and not have to fool with them at all

Outstanding!
Going to be repotting 9 FDM beeder mix OG into 3 gal fabric pots with municipal compost, peat and perlite. Equal volume.
Hope to end up w at least 4 fem. Top dress with a layer of DE for good measure.
Got a Viparspectra KS5000 on the way for 4x4 vivosun tent.
We’ll see how this works.
