Full Update…
Sorry for the delay, I’ve been putting together things for the spring, along with getting my 10x5 grow tent fully completed!
I am back now with a full update, I am also putting together another grow journal, this journal will be my 10x5 grow and will have logs of my spring starts along with some canna plants as well…
As far as the led vs hps comparison goes here is my observation so far.
600w hps will grow a very nice plant, the growth is strong, structure is sturdy but it consumes 600 watts to produce.
The led lighting is surpassing the 600w hps as far as growth is concerned, its using less then half the power as a 600w hps and the plant overall is growing faster.
Another observation I’ve noted is the plants grown under the led lights consume a lot more water then the plant under the hps, I am watering the plants under the led lights 2 gals every 2-3 days, whereas the plant under the hps get 2 gals around 4 days…
Also the 3 way elbows came in the wrong size again… These china made pvc parts are not the same size as North American sizes, I am going old school this run and will just stake things off, next run hopefully my nets will be ready.
I top dressed with gaia green 4-4-4, 2-8-4, glacial rock dust and insect frass about a week ago and I will be giving them another dose of microbial Mass pro soon.
