After last years successful Jack Herer scrog, I’ve started my next grow. I’m trying out Octopots for the first time. Ive popped 4 Frankenstein fems from our very own Johnny Potseed and I’m psyched! I germinated using the paper towel method but initially, 3 of 4 popped. It took another week or so to finally get a 4th one to pop so that one is still in a solo cup for another week before I transplant to the Octopot. I’m using the GH trio for this grow. I used Clonex until they are in the Octopots. The medium is Sunshine Advanced Mix #4.
This is 4-days since transplanting into Octopots. They don’t look awful, but they are a bit droopy. Everything I’ve read about Octopots is to only top water when you transplant, and then never top water again, because it forces the roots to seek the reservoir. So I’m fighting the urge to top water lol.
I started some LST on the back 2 plants. Filled reservoirs with GH trio, hydroguard and calmag. Plants 1,2 and 3 have been topped. Plant 4 will get topped in a few days.
Updated pic from last night. I installed the scrog net and began training plant 2 (back left) under it. The plants are starting to explode with growth. I see roots in the reservoirs now.
