Just finished watching the expose on California’s Emerald Triangle, the states efforts to make it nearly impossible for small(er) growers to survive and how the black market flourishes. Thirteen minute story,Marijuana in California: How red tape and black market weed are buzzkills for California's legal weed industry - 60 Minutes - CBS News
I watched a documentary on one of the first people to open dispensaries in Cali and how the feds let him get huge them came and busted him under federal law and took everything he had
An issue Cali is having is that they produce 11M pounds more than they consume. That surplus cannot go to other states.
Sure it can!
Watched this & cringed.
While it’s not Reefer Madness, the infotainment they provided was only roughly accurate, irresponsibly described Cannabis as ‘Marijuana’(except when talking to a weed person), and was a big fluffy propaganda piece.
It gives an appearance of neutrality & facts but misleads the ignorant masses about what is actually happening, working to reinforce outdated & prejudicial beliefs common to their audience.
The attention paid to Flow Kana was as corrupt as the scandalous laws, bureaucrats, & greedy parasites they attempt to describe.
A good example of how mass mis-understanding evolves, IMO.
harumph…
