As beautiful as the GHash is, there is not 1 trichome to be seen. Not sure if there is a error in the genetic code or not but this girl has been impregnated with 88G13NL2 @sd9007

  • Name: Original G13 (aka G-13, G Thirteen).
@therealpacific which phenotype did that one come closest to out of the 5 below?

Quick facts

  • Legendary, mysterious Indica with origins shrouded in myth.
  • Known for heavy potency, resin production, and unique earthy-pungent profile.
  • Used as a parent in many elite hybrids.

Sensory ratings (1–10 scale)

  • Taste: 8/10 – earthy, hashy base with citrus/pine edge.
  • Flavors (complexity): 8/10 – hash, wood, spice, pine, occasional fruit.
  • Aroma (potency): 9/10 – extremely pungent, resinous, sticky.
  • Smell (nuance): 8/10 – clearly identifiable earthy, pine, woody, skunky notes.
  • Terpene profile (richness): 8/10 – balanced, heavy on earthy, pine, and spicy terpenes with some citrus lift.

Terpene breakdown (likely dominant contributors)

  • Myrcene: earthy, hashy, musky – very dominant.
  • β-Caryophyllene: pepper, spice, woody – strong presence.
  • Limonene: citrus brightness – moderate to strong.
  • Pinene: pine/forest freshness – moderate.
  • Linalool / Ocimene / Terpinolene (minor): subtle floral, herbal, or sweet touches in some phenos.

Effects

  • Primary: deep physical relaxation, couch-lock, sedating body stone.
  • Secondary: initial euphoric or cerebral buzz before sedation sets in.
  • Medical-style benefits reported: stress relief, pain management, sleep aid, appetite boost.
  • Caution: very sedative at higher doses.

Indica : Sativa ratio

  • Roughly 70–100% Indica dominant, depending on the cut.

Potency

  • THC: typically 18–24%, with strong phenotypes reaching mid-20s.
  • CBD: usually negligible.
  • Known for strong resin and trichome production.

Bag appeal

  • Dense, sticky buds, heavily frosted with trichomes.
  • Often shows orange hairs and occasional purple hues.
  • Very loud nose; strong smell makes it stand out in a jar or bag.

Common phenotypes

  • Phenotype A – “Classic Hash”: dense, compact buds, earthy/hash flavor, knockout sedation.
  • Phenotype B – “Pine/Citrus”: bright citrus/pine notes, slightly more balanced high.
  • Phenotype C – “Skunky/Woody”: spicy, woody, sharp aroma with heavier pepper notes.
  • Phenotype D – “Fruity”: sweeter, softer smoke, less common but still sedating.
  • Phenotype E – “Purple Expression”: cold-weather phenos show purple hues with berry-like undertones.

Why G13 is elite

  • Legendary origin story adds mystique and status.
  • Potency and resin production make it a heavy hitter.
  • Distinct aroma and flavor profile — instantly recognizable.
  • Breeding value: stable Indica traits passed on to countless hybrids.
  • Market appeal: consistently frosty, loud, and strong, which drives demand.

My impressions/observations so far.

  1. Most likely NLD land race.
  2. Slow grower but steady.
  3. Very woody stem.
  4. Smell is pungent and bizarre.
  5. Very resinous and potent.
  6. I’m shooting for a full G13 run in the 5x5 by next spring.

Are they gonna be clones of the same G13 or a few different sources when you run a full tent of them?
