So my uncle Dukie passed in 2023 from cancer, he was the first person in my life to explain that marijuana was a medicine and that’s why he used it. He was a lifelong musician, he worked so many jobs so he could keep making music. When he passed, I realized that I had just missed out on so much with him, we never even shared a joint. I feel such an emptiness sometimes because of how much I missed him. When you look back you wish you used the time wiser. This project is sort of a way for me to bridge this gap of my memories of him and a relationship with cannabis which we never got to experience together. My goal is to make strains that A) remind me of what he used to smoke B) can resemble some of the best things that I remember of him through scent profile and stone C) are something I think he would like. I want to make this a whole project, I know I can’t vend through the site so this will just be a community post and grow journal to follow along. I’m hoping to have tie dye T-shirts for each strain or maybe just the whole run, custom pucks, trading cards, and I hope to be able to send out CD’s of his bands cover album after I purchase one from Ebay. The custom pucks are going to be kind of complex like I want a left handed guitar, an Orange dream bar, a choward’s violet chews, a parrotfish and a custom album cover sort of thing. The strains I’m working on are going to be Grandma Violet which I’m hoping to make using Kavman’s Temple Flo that I’ve advanced to F8 crossed to Maui IBL and I want it to be very sweet, very floral and Candy like. I think I need another strain in their to solidify the florals though but I’m not sure yet, I haven’t found a hit but Lavender Jack is pretty close to what I’m looking for from what I’ve smoked. Lani Moo’s Dreambars which I’m going to make using Orange Grove or Orange Stash F4 and Ma Milk F4 x Ma Milk #31 and I’m hoping to find a balance between the Orange terps and the sweet powdered milk terps of Ma Milk. “When it hit’s, you feel no pain” is going to be Good Medicine x Medicine Man x lambsbread and it’s a reference to the reggae song “Trenchtown Rock”. Then there’ll be “Baked Uhu” Uhu is parrot fish, baked uhu was his favorite meal and he loved it with a lot of mayonnaise, lup cheong, parsley and onions and I’ve sourced Kobe Beef BX4 and Black Lotus f3 as my candidates for that cross. The final one will be Dukie’s Daze which is a reference to Kalapana’s song “Kona Daze” it and the Kalapana’s self titled Kalapana was one of his favorite albums and that’ll be my Kona Gold crossed to SSDD. I want to also make a bonus one called “Waiahole Ditch Weed” because his bands name was “Waiahole Ditch Band” and I’ll use Florida ancestral Sativa IBL and Hawaiian Duckfoot or Dragonsblood HP. So, I don’t have personal experience with a handful of these seeds and I could use as much information as I can from people who have grown these strains or similar strains and I’ll take any advice on how to make the best hybrids that I can! In Memory of Dukie. Included with the memorial strains will be free packs of every step of the creation process! All seeds made during this grow will be available. Anyways I’m going to post the breeding groups down below and you can give me all your opinions, some of these are formed off hunches alone.

I’ll accept it gladly. It’s a little out there but I want to do Maui x TF and Maui x Lav and then backcross to the Maui and then cross the BX’s?? I think that’s what I’ll do if everything looks how I want it too

So, I have a big ask, I guess I’ll be turning this into a community project if anyone is looking to help out. I’m working the Ma Milk F3 to F6 and just popped 10 seeds to move from F3-F4. If anyone has the time, space and kindness in their heart, it’d be a big help if someone could do an increase on this pack of 5 Orange Stash from Dragons Flame Genetics.
