I did some searching on here and noticed people were talking about how their tents were off gassing some kind of funk. My wife pointed out this morning that my man cave smelled like ozone instead of a hippy den. Set up a brand new vivosun tent last night and I think that’s what we smell. I used to be a journeyman electrician I’ve checked all my plugs and extension cords and even the breaker panel and nothing is out of temp pretty much everything is cold. Has anyone else had issues with their brand new tent smelling funky? I can’t remember my other one smelling this way but then again that’s been lot of bong hits ago.

I’ll be setting up two new vivosun tents in next week (depends on how motivated I am to clean! 
) I’ll let you know if I notice anything.

I haven’t had any off gassing with my gorilla tents. Temps never got over 85 tho.

Yeah pretty sure the vivosun isa cheaper option than gorilla so there might be a cheapness in the material.

I’ve just recently set up two new vivosun tents and haven’t noticed any weird smells. A plasticy smell maybe. I put plants in them right away so if it’s off gassing it’s not something that harmed the plants. I have had a few of their tents and have been of good quality.

It’s because plastic. Because petroleum. Because China. Etc.

It’s my flower tent. When they went to sleep it was gone. The hot tent exhaust flows through a carbon filter in to the space where the smell is. The cheap tent and heat makes for that ozone/heater smell. No big. At least it’s keeping the funk in. Don’t wanna let the funk out.
