Thank you once again, @anon33830044! Of course, if I get an angle adapter, that kind of defeats the reason for a new bong. 
The hit I just took really brought home for me how much better hits taste. I have no idea why it was that hit. Drawing the smoke through the filter (carbon, in this case) before the water is a far superior to after the water. A serious upgrade.
