Yo folks. Trying an experiment and a little questionable tactic. 
Has anybody ever rolled a joint with a sativa in one half and an indica in the other half? I know will not be a perfect roll in terms of separation of each half but just idle time thinking. Lol I am trying this with an amnesia and red kush. Wish me luck.

I take all my popcorn from each plant and put in 5 gallon bucket. Had about ten different strains about 2.2 lbs this year. So I take a handful grind it and roll it. Usually a slightly different taste each time.
Then I can transfer the buds and brush the bucket down for kief and press hash from that.
Have tried large joints with segments of different pot and kief, it works just as well to mix.

When i want to see what a cross would look like kind of i will take the weed im going to pollen chuck and i will roll them into one joint to see what its like while i control it on the backend.Like if im making a Skunk #1 crossed into NL 5 ill take some skunk 1 bud and some northern lights 5 make one joint blended ill smoke that and note the effects.Gives you a rough roundabout way to see if it is something you will enjoy and how the 2 strains will pair to make a new hybrid

I smoked a very memorable blunt…. about a decade ago now….
It was pineapple express on the first half and blue dream on the second half. There was a very distinct taste shift when we hit the blue dream and a shift in effects.

Have you found that the flower resulting from growing out such hybrids is similar in taste/effects to the combined precursor flowers?

For the most part its very similar not going to be exactly but it gives you a good base line of what to expect

By doing this you can get an idea of how a cross between the two genetics would work.
I would think a guess would be close. I don’t think when you get a cross not all attributes get selected. Kind of a hit or miss think it is selective more than additions.

For whatever its worth… I make my CBD & THC joints blending 1:1 & 1:2 to control anxiety. Kills the head high but makes a heavy body high.

i’ve 2 vapes of bd and pe, they were mids to me, but then i’m immune from getting high on the new marijuana (i’m 76 yrs old, i got high on the old stuff, not this new shit). That point made, i never did mix them, and i think the BD pen’s empty now. But why roll half a jay of each? just mix 'em, roll 'em, fire 'em up, yeah? 
edit: oh i fergot to add that those vapes, both were like 90% thc, gagged me so bad i couldn’t keep from coughing. horrible shit. that plus a mid range high. bah.

It was just the vibe at the time haha. I think we just bought a DVD of pineapple express from blockbuster’s going out of business sale and we wanted to smoke something crazy haha apparently it was crazy enough to remember all these years later
I wouldn’t compare pens to flower though. To me thats like comparing light beer to craft beer. I suspect a lot of it has to do with unfavorable terpene to THC ratios. Ive only ever found a few pen brands that really worked for me.
Yeah man I’ve been mixing strains for years nothing new or at least I figured other people did that too… usually based on terps profile though like sweet berry with sour gas or something.
My friend gave me two vape pens with 89% THC white diamonds. Didn’t do much for me. It works for stealth smoking but other than that it regular joints are the way to go for me.
Had a few flavored pre rolls and Strawberry cough just doesn’t cut it. Much prefer the regular flavors.

Lot of prerolls are kinda garbage too (literally). Ive seen some full of stems and leaf. Definitely some legit companies that use good flower but way too many see prerolls as a means to selling unappealing flower.
Last summer i had someone give me a preroll that kinda felt like it sobered me up 
There are a few cart brands ill actually enjoy. I met some folks with a company in NJ that actually make carts that have a flower feel. Terps taste legit too
