Those are some good looking wardrobe cabinets I love wood working wish I had more machinery to do it with. I just got a lathe need to get some wood to try and turn out some table legs. Will be nice breeding cabinet I need to make something similar for my own projects this winter.

Thanks man, I had a lathe but had to leave it in the UK when we emigrated, as the power here is only 110v. They are good fun making bowls and other things.

Weedly Update

Breeding cab is nearly done. I have just got to cut a circular hole to get my power cord in there. for the lights and fan, then seal it up. The bottom air intake allows light in, I just put my phone in the cab on record and shut the door and you can see a faint light coming from it :frowning:

I will put a cardboard box over the end and that should stop it, and probably the air exhaust duct as well. The both have furnace filter over the ends held in place with elastic bands.

My huge safety fire door hinges.

The catches and weather strip.

Fan sealed in with silicone sealer.

Ducting covered in foil with the filter over the ends.

In the Clone Cab.

Things going OK except my Sebs Rev seeds keep dying after I move them into soil from, the paper towel, so starting another today and will be putting it in a peat puck.

The Ogers and SDxSL are starting to look a little light in colour so I added some worm cast and an 8th of a teaspoon of gai green ferts, I wiuld like to keep them in the party cups until I can sex them, they are 3 weeks and 1 day atm from seed. I will be starting the Rocky Mountain High Oregon Huckleberry next weekend.

In the Veg Tent.

Well after the weld braking on the tent frame top rail last weekend, I tried taking it apart to repair it, and the other side broke away as well ffs.

So now I have a temporary fix. I wired my extendable ceiling painting pole to the center of it and that seems to be holding it up ok for the moment.

The GDP have started to gain a bit of colour back after their transplant in the last couple of days, I think I over watered them as the soil was very dry after removing the PK from the pots.

The dark Sparks which I thought had only been in 4-5 weeks are actually at 9 weeks from seed where did the last 5 weeks go lol. Like the PK they are small so I think the veg light is just not cutting it for them, I should have moved my flowering light in temporarily, but it is what it is now I will know for next time, at least I know the soil make up for these is good and not to hot which was my main concern. The seem to be entering their death phase now.

2 have developed long fox tails this week, probably due to the lights moving up and down with the broken cross members. They are looking very frosty though

The willow mutant is still growing lol. Going to leave them another week, no harm in them staying in there atm.

In the Flower Room.
Orange Goji is getting bigger had to bend some branches to open her up a bit.

The GDP is still looking hungry I added some gaia green ferts to her last week, so hoping that will kick in soon.

Bagged the STS branch 1 flower is just about to open so I bagged the branch to collect the pollen. I am not worried if any get into the OG might be an interesting cross.

Thats it for this week cheers for looking.

Weedly Update.

Got the breeding cab set up now for the most part, chopped off the branch with male flowers on the GDP, they are not opening yet but were looking a bit sad being in the bag. So I removed them, some had fallen off in the bag so I opened them up more, they all had nanas but almost zero pollen :frowning:

Patented light proof wine box

Trying to make a light proof vent cover, using angle steel from left overs from the light frames.

Inside the Breeding Cab.

Close up you can see some are just opening now, but no frigging pollen. I read someone recommends running them at 17/7 light schedule to make it think winter has arrived and it speeds up its process, might try that with the next one see if it makes any difference.

I had a look on You tube for info, and apparently if you have a very strong female strain that does not hermie easily, its tough to get much pollen from them and they take a long time to produce the flowers, which is what is happening here, as the GDP is now 6 weeks into flower. It will be pointless trying to pollinate it now I think.

I am glad I took the clones for back up, so now I am thinking I will use 2 of the 3 clones start one with with the STS and then when it looks like the flowers are close to opening flip the next one to receive the pollen. hopefully it will be close to ready when pollen is being dropped. The other will be kept for a mother until I have seeds.

In the Clone Cab.

The Ogers and SDXSL are looking good, some lower leaves looking pale so they all got a 1/4 teaspoon of Gai Geen 3.7.5 ferts and a 1/8 teaspoon of Langbeinite each. Might give them some Malted Barley powder as well today along with the 3 GDP. I have 1 Sebs Rev in soil with a 3/4 inch tap root 2 more trying with a tiny bit of tap root showing but have been like it 3 days now, so not sure if they will progress.

I put 4 Oregon Huckleberry and 3 Oregon Huckleberry X Pink Animal Crackers in to paper towels Friday night, I have 2 of each with a good tap root gone into peat pucks this morning. I cant get over the size of these seeds lol they are huge.

All in their peat pucks with some Mycorhizzail.

In the Veg Tent.
The GDP settling in and getting some colour back into their leaves now. Not sure if its nute burn or low K with the burnt tips so they got a teaspoon of Langbeinite as well. I am going to stake their tops down this week to get some lower branches going and will try and get one ready asap for some STS while the other 2 keep vegging.

The 3 Dark Sparks are done but cant be bothered to chop yet they are all fox tailing now except the mutant.

This one has yellowing leaf veins which I think is a sulphur deficiency, which is surprising me as I put a load of gypsum in each pot, might not have broken down properly yet or its the water PH being high not allowing good absorption. Hopefully now my PH meter is calibrated correctly this may be corrected soon. Looking very frosty though.

In The Flower Room.

The GDP and OG still growing OK. The GDP looks like its got some colour coming back now the PH meter is corrected.
The GDP looks like its got some colour coming back now the PH meter is corrected, with 3-4 weeks to go.

.The OG is looking the same as usual with the same amount of time to go.

Cheers for looking.

Have you tried the Pink Animal Crackers X Oregon Huckleberry yet. I just harvested some Oregon Huckleberry and really enjoying smoke. I’ve got a few of the pac x oh seeds and I can’t see these not being really good my only criticism of the OH is the flavor and the addition of PAC should fix that. I’m still blown away by the OH resin production it’s just insane I can’t wait to make some hash from the trim.

Not yet, first time growing these, I now have 4 OH and 3 of the OH x PAC above ground and doing well ATM, they will be going into party cups today.

Another month and I will be starting the Rocky mountain high and also with a PAC cross of it as well.

What flavour are you getting from your OH that’s not good

Its got a really good taste but I just wish it was a little more pungent. Probably my fault I had issues on this run. It’s only got about a week cure on it so it should get better with time. I would definitely run her again I might find a different pheno that I would like more.

Yeah if it’s only a week into the cure it will definitely improve over time as the terps condense and the chlorophyll disappears. I am glad it’s a good taste.

I have a load of green crack here, tastes fucking horrible to me, my neighbor loves it lol. I guess it’s a case of you like what you like :joy:

Yeah person preference varies greatly. The Oregon Huckleberry is very consistent line and has some really nice plants. She did get very thick and I had some mold problems but I had a ton of issues and still pulled about 7 zips from 2 plants. Veg them as long as you can and get as much roots as you can before flowering her and she will reward you nicely. I’m really enjoying her though the only thing I really didn’t like about the flavor was the coffee kinda of taste that people call it but since it’s gone in the jar that has started to go away and it’s got a nice fruity flavor going very smooth but will still hurt you if you take a huge rip but hurt you in a good way.

Good to know they will get about another 10 weeks of veg depending on speed of growth, they will probably be around 2 to 3ft high and wide when they get flipped, just hope I got some females among them

Just been in the flower room to water the OG and GDP, the OG has frigging mites again, so its now burning in the fire pit. Cant see any damage on the GDP, the mites must be originating from my flower room or workshop some where.

All my plants inside the house seem fine although the tent is slowly collapsing around them, came down this morning to find a cross member sticking through the side of the tent, the welds have gone on that as well now. I will be going down to get some 2x2 to make a new end frame.

Fixed up the tent Thursday, looking a lot better now.

All the corner vertical poles and ceiling frame removed, as most of it had fallen apart. I might find a use for it.

Built the end frame on the left, drilled holes up the ends so the to ends could it on the horizontal floor frame spigots that hold the vertical poles, so it didn’t move around. I drilled holes in the top sides so the ceiling frame could slot in those like on the floor but they just snapped off the other end, so I had to add wooden side cross beams on the right of the pic to hold the end frame in place.

I needed the ceiling cross bars which have hooked ends to slot over the metal bars but they didn’t fit over the 2x4 now being used. So I drilled half way into the 2x4 and cut the hook part off.

The other side has a bit of decking being used on the door side. I hammered the hook flat and drilled a whole through them and screwed these end to the decking.

So long as the bottom floor frame holds together I am good

Hahaha I like the wooden frame grow tent… thats something I’d do lol

Yeah its better than no tent lol.

Weedly Update.

In the Clone Cab things are ticking along.

The Ogers and Sour Diesel X Snow Lotus are 6 weeks from seed. Starting to get some lower leaves losing colour, I dont want to up pot them until I know their sex. I will give them a top dress of some blood meal to pick them up a bit. The tall one back left got staked down earlier in the week with wire, but its starting to lift the wire up now.

The Oregon Huckleberry and OH X Pink Animal Crackers are at 11 days from going into water.

In the repaired Veg Tent.

The Dark Sparks are harvested and smelling great, they did as well as the Purple Kush, but didn’t get burnt up. I then re potted the GDP that were in the PK 5 gal pots, and starting to burn, into the DS 5 gal pots. The PK pots are getting emptied in the worm bin for re conditioning.

GDP going to get some bending about shortly.

The 4 X 10 gal pots patiently waiting, the clover is taking its time getting going, but there is not much light this side of the tent. I put an avocado half in each pot, and 4 halves in the worm bin, once they start gathering in the worm bin I will re home some of them in the 10 gal pots.

In the flower Room.

Said goodbye to the Orange Goji with mites. Not sure if there may have been 1 left on it that didn’t die, or they are now endemic in the flower room or workshop. I am going to seal any cracks around the base board and wall and door trim, window and wall, as well as the bottom of the baseboard and vinyl flooring. I am also going to take out the light gallows, its a pain in the ass, and just fix 2 2x4’s to the ceiling to attach hooks to for the lights. Then give it another thorough clean out and hang the home defence bug killer back in there, until the Ogers, SDXSL and 2 of the other GDP clones are ready to try making seeds with again once the GDP in there now is finished.

The GDP at 7 weeks now from flip is looking frosty, buds are not big, but its in a small pot, still got 3 weeks to go and they smell different than they normally do for some reason, much more fruity and floral, normally its more lemony and cat piss lol.

The GDP branch in the Breeding Cabinet is slowly opening flowers but not seeing any pollen collecting on the parchment paper :frowning:

Cheers for looking.

That makes no sense to me. It’s just one hour different than 18/6 and I swear the plants wouldn’t notice the difference one little bit. Switching to 12/12 makes them think winter is coming so they flower.

That breeding cab is looking pretty sweet! A lot more Joe Pro than mine would be. I’m more function than fashion.

Got the rest of the stuff for my RO unit so tack another project on the list. Damn near froze my girl but she should be OK. Getting her harvested is top priority but so are a few other things. Might be AWOL for a while.

:peace:

It’s 17 hours of dark and 7 hours of light  I think that is a little over the top though myself.

We had another heavy frost yesterday as well, rain today and the temps are up a bit.

I hope the RO build goes smoothly for you :+1:

There was an interesting video posted last week about photoperiodism. It briefly discusses the typical 18/6 and 12/12 schedules at the beginning.

That was interesting, thanks for putting it up. So once flowering has initiated at 12/12 dropping the light further does nothing really other than, decrease photosynthesis and slowing plant growth.

When I think about of growing outside, the plants dont finish any earlier because its getting darker earlier, they are going to have to go through normal stretch and maturing times, no matter how short a day cycle gets. So males should be no different with their flowers maturing.
