Happy belated 420 Shadey et all!

I’m bending the hell out of my girls too at day 9 of 12/12 and potted 3 Pink Kush clones for 4/20. More of other strains rooting every day. I need more space!

Howdy @ganjajuana! Been a minute.

Cheers and a belated happy 4.20 to you guys and gal.

@ganjajuana I hope life is treating you well man good to see you pop in, I miss looking at your perfect grows.

@LabRat pink kush sounds nice, I have some purple kush seeds that George 1961 kindly sent me, that I want to get going soon.

@Abbbian

Necessity is the mother of invention, sometimes you have to think outside the box or tent lol, pun intended.

It’s a solution, not perfect, but will do temporarily until we sell the house.

I am going to have to find another solution once they start getting taller, and are in bigger pots. I have my breeding cabinet, out in the workshop, I will probably put them in there when it warms up a bit more outside.

Weedly Update.

Plants are doing good, although I would have thought the bud development would be better for 3 weeks of 12/12 starting week 4. They seem to correcting themselves after the low PH watering. It didn’t seem to affect the big pot as much as the tester plant in the small pot. The tester plant has new low down growth, that is coming nice and green now below the leaves that are yellowing.

Temps have been at 75F and around 60 to 70% RH this week. I raised the temps in the cab today, to 78F with a + or - 2 degrees, for either the extraction fan or heater to come on, as the nights have been fairly low in temps this week, with some frost in the early morning. The cabinet is dropping below, what the little heater, I have in there can cope with I think, as the temps have been low when I check the plants just after lights on in the morning. I might add another small heater in there as they are both only 300W each.

I think I am going to have to find a scrog net, they are all back up and repeated branch bending will cause some branches to die off from making mistakes and going to far on them in my frustration to keep them low :persevere:

Going to need a little defoliation soon, its getting pretty thick with the leaves lower down.

Seedlings are coming along nicely as well.

Cheers.

They are surprisingly resilient. I’ve super cropped and snapped branches this whole grow and they haven’t skipped a beat. And by snapped I mean CCCrack!

If I go too far I just duct tape them and they’re fine.

That’s what I have done in the past but my hands are shaking a lot more recently, and I end up just breaking the branch off completely trying to fix it with the tape, or getting the tape stuck to leaves or itself, trying to carefully wind it around the damaged branch :confounded:

I lost a small branch last week, and with such small plants I cant afford to lose to many lol. Plus I am sniffing the extra strong Litfa juice to much and its making me lazy, and dont want to be bending branches twice a week when they get fully into their stretch.

I’m lucky in that my hands are steady as a rock still even tho every joint feels like it’s got a nail in it a lot of the time.

I accidentally broke smaller branch bending mine too and it’s now sitting in a glass of water for a week then will get dipped in rooting powder and planted in some fine promix. The last 3 I did like that rooted in 4 and 5 days so that’s my new goto method. One of them already had a little root bump on the side of the stem when I put it in dirt.

Just potted 8 rooted clones last night and my little tent is getting full now with the grow room tied up for a couple months while the moms flower.

Did collect some fem seeds from the two Mazarilla autos the other day. Got 20 off one and 14 off the other with quite a few immature ones spotted so they are still in the tent to let them ripen before cropping the plants and recovering what seeds are left.

Cut a coffee filter to cover the soil and picked them out with tweezers. Found two sitting on top of the soil in the plant that had 20. Will plant half these and half originals in the raised bed for this summer’s crop. Got some of those CDB - Auto ‘Hemp’ beans from Sebring’s last big run to try a few in the patch I grew in last year.

You putting any outdoors this year?

No I was thinking of doing some autos but not sure it’s a good idea if we put the house on the market and have people trapesing around the property looking at it.

Aiming for late July if I can keep up the rate of work I am doing, we should be ready by then and I need some good weather to dry the ground out down the bottom of the property.

We have lost 3 more big healthy trees this winter in the freezing rain storm we had, and one more in some heavy winds a month ago, that gave it a 20 degree list, has now fallen. I think the strong winds last weekend combined with the ground thawing out now, was the culprit for that one.

So I am going to have to cut those up and remove them. Funny thing is a dead and rotting tree out the front, which a pilated woodpecker has almost cut in half lol is still standing, go figure.

Got to take some measurements today, and take out a second Mortgage, to get 10 x 8ft 2x4 and 2 sheets of 3/4 inch osb, insulation and vapour barrier, to make a sub floor and stud wall under the stairs, to hide the repair in the basement wall.

It hasn’t leaked in the 6 years since it was repaired now, but it looks a big mess with all the previous experiments to stop it leaking. Also it’s the only spot in the house where it’s all bare cold concrete, so it’s not optimal for storing stuff.

Moisture develops from where the mains water pipe comes up through the floor in there, and sweats condensation when it hits the warmer air in the house. So that needs a bit of insulation as well to avoid any mould build up.

Cheers man, I still got my truck to sort out as well, I think I am going to have to get a mobile welder in to finish it off, the last couple of bits need to be done properly as they are structural on the frame, by the suspension struts. Its never ending lol.

I wish workers comp would get a move on with my money, the line of credit is nearly maxed out, I have to keep juggling what I can do, with what money we have left atm.

So the plants seem to like the temps being raised, they are fully into the stretch phase now I think, they have gained nearly 2 inches since Sunday, definitely going to have to put a net over them. They are losing a few lower leaves right down at the bottom probably due to lack of light down there and the fast growth. The top leaves are lighter in colour than the big fans and lowers, I hope its just speed of growth and not the light causing it. I am going to top dress with a couple of table spoons of Jobes organic 3.7.5 and a half table spoon of Sulpomag in case its nutritional, might give them some molasses with their next watering as well to boost the carb load up.

Cheers for looking :+1:

Cheers guys.

The wife yesterday had enough of a wire shelf thing that she keeps the bed sheets in, as it falls apart easily, so she threw it off the deck and it completely disintegrated into it’s singular components, when it hit the ground.

Perfect synchronicity from the universe and my wish for a scrog net, I just zip tied 4 together added a leg on each corner and sat it over the plants. It might cause a problem getting the buds out without cutting the stems from underneath when ready, but its good for now and its keeping the plants lower down.

I wasn’t going for an artry shot, my neck is bugging me bad today and I couldn’t bend down and take the shot square on lol.

Cheers.

There are a lot more in the centre not quite tall enough yet to come through but it should fill up more in the next couple of weeks.

The second half of the act is usually better and more interesting than the first half lol, make sure you order your drinks ahead of the intermission to avoid the ques lol.

Are you not going to bend the tops over and tie them down like a real ScroG. Bend 'em like Beckham man!

The old saying is true then. One woman’s pain in the ass is her man’s poor aim! Or treasure. Yeah that’s it, treasure.

Seem like the cuttings I had about given up on all finally rooted so now I need a bigger tent so shopping around Kijiji etc to see if I can find a deal on a used 4x4 and LED light cheap. Got $200 of mad money stashed away just for something like this. Could come up with a bit more cash but not lots.

There’s not enough room to get them stretched out completely, they were watered the day before so they are pretty pumped up and I didn’t want to try bending them about too much. Just wanted them lower under the light for the moment.

Once the pots dry out a bit, probably Sunday, I will see how flexible they are and try and tuck the tops back under. I think they have several more inches of growth to go before they finish stretching.

Good news on your cuttings, bad news for your wallet lol. I have given up on kijiji, it’'s mostly company adds now, I know you don’t do facey book, but their market place is where I get all my second hand stuff from around here, beats the pants of kijiji.

I am going to need a new tent, once we move, I can’t be bothered to try and cobble the old one back together with the big box add on lol.

My nephew has a nice 8ft x 4ft gorilla tent, he has used it for half a grow, about 2 years ago, then gave up after getting a thrip and fungus gnat infestation, just as they went into flower.

I tried to help him out, but he is one of those people that doesn’t like help, he sees it as interference, so I gave up trying and let him get on with it, and he ended up tossing the plants out before they were half done.

I will see if he wants to sell it all when I am ready for a new one lol.
