A Shadey spot to grow, Perpetual organic no till

I have only grown them by accident before, throwing potato peelings in the worm bin. I stuck some down in my raised garden box as well and they are coming up, along with some garlic I forgot about last year lol.

The satisfying bit is eating them, I guess I better see how long it takes to get some good size potatoes grown.

Yeah I am pleased with the way the frost is building on them, hoping for a lot more.

Cheers man, not the best option growing in a cardboard box, but needs must when your buddies want plants to grow outside and the seedling cab is in flower mode

Weedly Update.

I turned the heat up in the cab on Thursday to keep it around 80F, the plants seemed to do so much better the other week when it was hotter. Its been in the low teens the last coupe of days but the RH has not been too high so the fan in the cab is handling it ok.

I changed my mind on adding the Sulpomag for the moment, I dont want to mess anything up and they seem to doing well atm.The leaves have darkened up a bit since last week so I think it may be better to LITFA lol.

Got my daughters old camera its better than my even older one, and has a macro setting, I cant believe she was going to bin it.

Seedlings are jumping up a bit now they all got a soil top up during the week.

Cheers for Looking.

Mid Weedly Update.

Not much changing, they are getting a bit bigger, 8 weeks from flip now. Weather has been better not much rain but we have had frost warnings the last 3 days, so nights have been chilly out in the workshop. Daytime temps have been up around 80F and the the exhaust fan is keeping the RH to 60% atm .

I am going to give them some more sulpomag next watering, it definitely looks like they need more K, looks like they are getting burned tips and edges now.

Some are still chucking out lots of new pistils.

Some pistils are starting to go a nice deep orange colour.

Sunflower growing in the background lol.

Seedlings looking nice and healthy.

Cheers for Looking.

Thanks I am relatively pleased with the way they are going but I always want better lol, Just the one strain BBNK.

They were, but they are starting to look hungry now, I am about to make them a tea with high P and K to get in the system quickly, I hope.

Weedly update
Rain the last couple of days but the RH has not been above 50% surprisingly, I think it all got soaked up in the ground but its hot today so it will probably spike later on. Temps have been in the low teens F but its nice and warm today.

Starting to look hungry at 9 weeks from flip and the lower fans are showing P deficiency now as well as the K :frowning: I am going to push them as long as I can time wise.

I like the burnt orange colour of the pistils.

The trichs are building up well.

Seedlings are going outside today for a holiday to get them used to the sun and wind,

My Potatoes have gone crazy this week.

More potatoes and Garlic left over from last year that I missed in my raised bed.

Cheers for looking.

Late mid weedly update, so busy atm.

So the sun has been shining the majority of the week and ambient temps are creeping up and RH is stable between 40 to 45% in the cab, and the plants are starting to throw out new pistils after the tea they got Monday.

I checked my grow log for dates and they are actually 9 weeks yesterday from flip, so they can probably have a few weeks yet if they want to keep growing. I am thinking they may not have reached sexual maturity properly when I first flipped them, and why it took them longer to start producing buds.

Its interesting have 3 plants of the same strain in one pot to see how different they all behave to the same level of nutrients in the soil. The tester plant in the small pot that got the same soil mix as the obig pot seems to be doing the best of them all, after all the light abuse and slight burn it got I thought it would be not doing so well…

The trichs are starting to get thicker, I should really start to check them to see where we are at.

Buds are getting stickier with a strong rotten fruit/berry smell to them.

Lots of new pistil growth.

These are being picked up tonight. I put them outside Tuesday it was cloudy so thought it would be ok but left them out to long and some leaves got burned :confounded:

Cheers for looking.

I once threw an armoire off a balcony. Smash.

But we also used to javelin 4’ fluoros in construction sites.

When I was doing some filling in work in demolition, many years ago, we would have fun throwing all kinds of stuff from buildings. Toilets, TV’s and most furniture explode well from 5 stories up lol.

I remember being ordered to spear 8’ t12 into a dumpster at a high school job :grimacing:
They were the ones that had a thin plastic film over them, and they would collapse because of the vacuum in the tube, pretty cool other than the felonious-ness of it all and the fact that I was poisoning the earth.

Lol, did that with a 25" RCA off the 11th floor once, left an explosion mark on sidewalk when tube went, lol. We did check for people before hand but not my proudest moment.

The first year I was in Canada I worked on a Hotel being built in Halifax. It had rained a lot and water was all over the sixth floor, so a buddy who I worked with said we can suck it up with a shop vac, it was 10 gals. We filled it and then thought, where are we going to empty it. Buddy says we can just pour it over the side, I will check its all clear and you tip it. Just as the last drop left the vac a big Newfie steps out to light a cigarette, and whoosh he gets the lot of dirty trash and water. I must say he was very good about it, and just laughed after I bought him a case of beer lol.

I remember last year I went to a job where the rainwater was filling up a gutter and overflowing. I traced it back to the middle of a downpipe. I cut the pipe just bellow the blockage with a cordless angle grinder thinking the blockage would remain until I could get clear of it and give the pipe a tap with a hammer to release the blockage. The best plans never work out properly do they??? The vibration from the grinder must have shaking the blockage lose enough that once I was fully through the pipe It decided to let go and dump around 50 litres of stagnant water with old vegitation over me. It stank to high heaven. I bet it would have been excellent plant nutrients

 that’s my luck as well, I had a similar problem but I can disconnect my drain pipe in sections.

I was standing just underneath it reaching up pulling what I thought was leaves and twigs out of it when I got the whoosh of water and a half decaying and stinking to high heaven dead bird hit me in the face and went down the back of my neck inside my shirt, makes me shudder just remembering it lol. I nearly puked from the smell.

Weedly Update.

Not a lot happened since the last as its only a couple of days lol, so here are some pics.

I love this camera its great for close ups.

Lots more pistils starting.

This plant at the front looks like its stopped now but I will leave her another week before checking. They all are getting pretty stinky now, with a rotten fruit/berry smell with a hint of aniseed and cats piss.

Cheers for looking.
