I have been flat out for the last month trying to get a bedroom in our new house finished, nearly there now so I can relax a bit before my daughter and her boyfriend fly in from Kelowna this weekend.
So I have not been taking much notice of my plants and one of the PK has bit the dust 
Some kind of boring bug has tunneled up the branches and stems killing off the plant. I salvaged some buds but there was
mould on 50% of it.
But the others appear to be doing ok although the other PK and the Green Monster have both hsd a lower bud develop mould as well.

I’d go with Stem Borer. Jam a high e guitar in the hole, and up the stem until you feel a pop. Most satisfying, lol!

I’ve had Beatles do that before. I thought it was a lady bug. Those tobacco cut worms will do same thing. They start with a very small hole. I’ve had squirrels get in the stuff.

There was a stink bug on a branch next to a hole but I think its caused by the Eurasian Hemp Borer bug.

I just chopped up the plant as there were 6 holes I could count on the plant.

I can see that. Too much damage. I have seen some do some funny stuff before. Especially some of my outdoor growing back in the day. I had one down in a hole. It’s crazy what I eat them.

Got some nasty bugs out there Shadey! I’ve never seen anything like that here. No fleas on our pets either but more than our share of mosquitoes. Oregano oil on bites works better than anything including those Benadryl daubers.
Much nicer view at your place than ours tho with the smog from wildfires here there’s not much to see. Was really bad today and supposed to be worse tomorrow but I’m going fishing for walleye anyway. Good excuse not to exert myself rowing so I’ll just use the trolling motor. I’ll filter the bad air thru my cigarettes and I’ll be OK. 
I want to get my new fly rod finished by next week so I can go down to the trout lake and get some decent fish on it. Caught my biggest rainbow there last week on a dry fly but released it. Will be bigger next year when I catch it again. 
No rain here since the last one day of steady rain over a week ago. Farmers are already cropping their canola and the grains aren’t far behind.
The hemp down the road is 10’ tall and flowering with males spreading pollen all over. I took pics close up but can’t find the damn things on the computer and they’re not on the camera anymore.

Nice size fish, what’s it weigh about 1.5lbs 
I saw an Osprey pull a big fish out of the river in front of the house last week, I recon it must have been around the 7lb mark. It put up a good fight there was a lot of splashing and thrashing about in the water it took the Osprey 2 or 3 minutes to subdue it and get airborne again.

Weedy updates.
The PK could come down so could the Green Monster, thankfully no more hemp boring bugs but a little mould on a lower bud on the Monster got snipped off this morning. We have a week of nice weather forcast so I am going to chop them just before it rains again.
I must say I am impressed with the way the Green Monster picked up in size compared to how runty it was, glad I didn’t cull it now.
The PK is getting a nice purple fade on the leaves and bud tips.
The BOH are just starting to bud up and are about 12 inches tall one has been attacked by a leaf hopper but it doesent seem affected by it. I might give them both a dose of Safers end all as a preventative before the buds get into full swing.

Maybe a pound. I didn’t even measure it’s length but was the biggest one I’ve caught yet in that little lake. With the warm water it was very near death after the good fight it put up so I was more concerned with reviving it than it’s stats.
Took the boat over to the big lake and fished for walleye with one of my home tied jigs and threw spoons for pike but not even a nibble. I’ve never been skunked for pike there but the water is more like a hot tub so the fish are very sluggish when there’s hardly any oxygen in the water.
It’s cooling down a lot here now so hopefully the fishing will improve and I get this damn fly rod finished soon to try it out on some more trout. Getting dark by 9 now too.
