I cringe every time I see new post asking where the free seeds are.
No posts, no grows, just a seed beggar, that will sooner or later, sock puppet you from any sickening angle.
This burns me hard, as I came here in 99 trying to find cancer relief information, not ANYONE’s seeds, and when I did find seeds, in the PRIVATE MESSAGES, I swapped value for value, not this seed beggary we got going on now!
Great way to wreck a day!! Fucking sock puppets, site mites is all they are.

All those years ago, I was never pissed at Shabang, or foolgirl, or any other admin or mod, when I donated to a sock puppet scum bag, instead of a true charity needing member.
Nor am I now. This is not a fault of LJ or any mod!!
But this free seed shit is out of hand, in it’s design now.
Seeds were always PM’s only!
We could duke it out in the Shark Tank, but not in Gen Pop threads, and of course, at times, it would spread out. I do not EVER remember it being this constant stream of fuckery, like the last couple of years…for fucking seeds!
As seed beggars come along, let them donate a year to OG 2.0, for $50.00, before they secure a seat at the free seed trough.
Or copy bean basement, you do not run a grow, from begging to end, no membership, no entrance to the free seed vomitorium!.
Value for value, for fucks sake!

We’ve had discussions and disagreements on this very subject. I believe the consensus at the time was that the community would figure out what was best to do over time … within certain limitations. Moderators have generally been standing-back on this as much as possible, engaging when necessary in order to correct problems.
The mechanism is there. Some folk have set-up their own protective rails. Anyone doing a run, for instance, are able to set their own rules of participation (certain limitations). Seeds can still be traded in PM, too (no begging through PM, though). Perhaps it will naturally start to tighten back up again …

quite interesting now that’s out the woodwork because I had a member here recently come into my email telling me he had been here a few months and had acquired through donation and caregivers over 180 packs from trusted members?..and that same member hasn’t produced a single grow I’ve seen…therein lies the problem…that guy could open up a shop and I bet on my heart he’s not the only one…glad mods and management and somebody is addressing it…these genuine care givers who want to help sick and needing ppl are what this site should stand for…its got a bit school playground if I’m honest and loads of ppl are just simply conning better nature and the good in ppl…I’m in here showing my love ffs as are a few many others…and we putting it on a plate regularly just to show an ounce of remembrance as to why we all here in the first place…I’ve been gifted 100s of seeds over the yrs being a tester…not being greedy…just showing breeders I wasn’t about not showing others what you wanted to say…and I had a weapon in knowing how to grow…I used it as a barter…but you can’t leave the breeders vision and belief in you to wander around in your own world and not show something…you get found out in the end!!!
