I have a female that has been in flower for about 8.5 weeks…accidentally got pollen on her… seed are near or even at maturity… my question is will her buds fill out pass the point of where she’s at or should I not look forward to smoking any of this product???
The only areas where your bud growth will be affected are the areas where the seeds are. If you have mature seeds, then it got pollinated a month or more ago. Have your buds continued to fatten up? In any case, before most of us started growing, we smoked some awesome weed that we had to clean the seeds from first, so you should be fine.
No my bud has not gotten any fatter it seem that have stalled out the last couple of weeks… the seed pods are huge and on every cola… I picked a mature seed out earlier today…I still see a few white pistols as well and yes she was pollinated about 2 months ago
Well don’t mess with the seeds on the plant - you can deal with them later. Just keep an eye on your trichomes and harvest as you normally would. It’s too late to anything now other than chopping her at the optimal time for your taste (preference).
I have one in the same shape but it was from a herm female. Are the seeds on the none herm going to herm?
I still don’t understand the difference of pollen from a hermed or a turned fem.
From my understanding herm plants produce herm seeds… pollinated plant produce either reg or Fem seeds depend on what kind of pollen you used… don’t quote me on that
The biggest factor is that feminized male flowers that produce feminized pollen are made by blocking hormones, and usually hermie flowers are a result of stress, and that tends to create instability issues in the seeds.
The seeds produced by pollen from a herm plant are likely to produce herm plants.
I still don’t understand the difference of pollen from a hermed or a turned fem
feminized seeds are produced by applying chemicals to a female plant that provoke a specific stress reaction that results in herm flowers, whereas herm plants create intersex flowers in the normal conditions of your grow.
all cannabis plants have the potential to create intersex flowers under extreme stress, but a plant that herms without extreme stress will almost certainly pass the intersex traits on to the next generation.
