I plan to try their work as soon as my order arrives.
Mango C5 sounds like a good place to start.

@wallyduck was very generous and shared a bunch of “fallen soldiers” from his last seed run with me for the upcoming January auction. C5 Mango Haze was the father and the mothers could be one of Mango Haze, Nevilles Haze, Laos Mango or C5Mango. There will be some amazing plants in there I bet… big ups to Wally for being such a stand up guy and helping me raise some money for a good cause. Like I say I should have almost every brand of haze covered in one hybrid or another… I am very excited to share some good haze beans and raise some money for charity along the way.

Ha, I smoked two of the phenos he grew that he gave me. The smoke reminded me of Bandaid Haze, but prettier structure.

Please let me know when you run the auction. :grinning: I think i missed it last year.

That’s interesting to hear. Did Tom mention anything about the bags he gave you? IE He thought they represented Columbian or Thai phenos of his plants?

Well I got them from SemperFrosty when we were hanging out and I think he gave me #4 and #11, but I could have #11 wrong, we didn’t have a pen on us. Both were artwork in terms of structure and with a bright silver citrus thing that reminded me of a C5 x Nevil’s Haze I ran and really liked. The smoke was similar as well, one was slightly hashier tasting, but both were nice hypnotic and happy Bandaid Haze style haze.

AG Ohaze outdoor, (later greenhouse assisted).

Just smoked her, and you guys, there’s a racing heart, visual warpage, forgetfulness, an uncomfortable overthinking and overawareness of the body, and my head feels like it’s hovering above my shoulders, like a balloon with a string attached for a neck, tying it to the vehicle that is the body… And I’m forgetting what I wanted to say… frankincense strong in odor, not pure, but closer than most… Blast off start, but might crash and burn as it goes… hmmm… can’t tell if it passes or fails yet…

To say something smells like incense is basically like an old way of saying something smells like a purified water extract turned into air or whatever… there’s all the kushw and equatorial ones that are really exotic like actual incense and the one people spend their times debating is the one that smells like a basically nothing. A church smells like dust mites and whatever, for 30 seconds it smells like frankincense and mer, you fucks have never been in a Catholic Church

I’ve had a couple of strains that smelled like incense. I don’t know what kind - to me incense is a flavor. I’ve never had one smell like distilled water though.

Maybe they should say Greek Orthodox . Like you indoctrinated in the Mother Church until going to a public high school . Girls , short skirts , rock n roll , drugs & the 60’s…

Frankincense is clean smelling… Misty soap in a way, kinda like a museum mixed with the haunted mansion ride at disneyland… But with a woodsy, cedar/juniper and pine after it rained kind of thing, with maybe a bit of a lime and pinapple fizzyness… It’s hard to describe, but it sure don’t smell like liver and blood…
People really should just buy some if they are curious… You can just buy the resin and some charcoal and burn it in a metal container, or just buy a kit… something like this:

That was one of the better frankincense descriptions I’ve heard as it pertains to the haze type . The clean wet dank. Almost a touch of salt or pool.

I have run a lot of these post '97 A5 and A5t makes, but the frankincense they are not. Unless it’s an uncommon outlier .

Liver, meat, leather, metal, some hardwoods, but never came across clean dank frankincense in them. Incense maybe. That’s a broad term though. The CBH that is often referred to as church has on incense that is more dry. The Alpine 1.0 are strait drip wet dank. Not Frankincense resin smoldering on a charcoal, but essential oil in a diffuser is hard to tell the difference.

The other thing is I have not had anything in all the A5’s that resembles The Seed Bank’s 5haze. Anyone who had both would hardly think they shared a parent. They do of course, they both had metal. That’s about the strongest and almost only description I can link at the moment.

This one has about 2-3 weeks to go and has the sharp high notes of TSB 5haze, but it’s incomplete. So far the only line I have found the original 5haze notes has been Nigerian Haze which used the original 5haze NLD male.

In well over 300 Nigerian haze across maybe 8-12 makes before Alpine I found it 3 times, not a hint of it elsewhere. The clone only isn’t even remotely like it, but it’ll pop up around 1% . At least for me so far. I would guess the type was over 10% back then because others were finding it in only one pack

Who knows. Maybe the ones selecting in the early mid 90’s were so inundated with piercing chemical fir needle and frankincense they wanted a different haze. Somebody teased up a Vienna hot dog and the rest is haze history :man_shrugging:t3:

Also I love the A5’s. At least they didn’t get as reckless as the C5’s. It’s just my own frustration that every single potential accession wasn’t made every step of the way

@Topicalwave

I’ll donate 5 Alpine Haze 1.0. Nothing has tested equal and they are more rare morphology then any haze anywhere ever. If people in the know see them it’ll help the cause.:v:
:point_up_2: @chodlcup not self promoting haze®©™ right here💓
