That one has me interested. Love to see how she finishes.
MH x C5 x MH )x FP
One of the hazards testing new stuff. I inspect every plant pretty well every day. Something got her. I found maybe 10 seeds on her. No other plant has any seeds. I sprayed every plant with RO water to kill any pollen. That always damages pistils. They will grow more. I love what I see from these plants.
That’s the description from the old days, when Haze was still a real tropical sativa and compact Vietnamese like compact Haze genetics called indica!
Basic Strain Info
“Lieu Hanh is an indica variety from [unknown origin] and can be cultivated indoors . .”
“Hundreds of Neville’s haze f2s were grown out"
“Neville’s haze that had a flowering time just short of 15 weeks and had the trippiest profound smoke quality with no paranoia or couch lock.”
"An extremely early flowering Vietnamese** male carrying an almost pure single cola shape "
“The Viet male was so early that our girl was not prepared/advanced enough in flowering to take a dusting so pollen was collected and stored until she (Nevilles Haze) was ready”.”
But i think it might be not possible to find the perfect specimen once the original by her own is multifaceted, more than 50 years since she supposedly was breed its hard task to determine a true one. At least we can put for granted continue the IBL with the closest thing from the orginals
@hempy for instance has a wonderful work on Nevillles Haze lines.
I cannot put anything for granted, in mids 2000 all i had was O. Haze from TFD (but at the time Golli Haze and a true Nevilles Haze, crossed both a still preserving cuz for me was enough, all outcomes trippy as heck, full energy weed. But i Know theres still Mr Nice NH on the market. Should give it a try
Amnesia Haze x Chocolate Rain aka Raspberry Haze, at least the three phenos that I got, smoked like a pure sativa. Two of them, specifically, did not have a clear ceiling and you did not feel anything at all on the comedown. It is worth trying to be honest. Mine flowered very much like some Oaxacans I have seen.
i see, but she was a polyhybryd, as far as we know the Haze Brothers weren´t breeders, they just crossed all pure sats in a minimum level of order, but by that, who knows.
There aint no softcore sats in the mix for sure
My Mango haze is chopped and in shoeboxes for a couple weeks. Came out really nice this run, straight headstash. Probably got like 20 grams of fluffy buds haha, so it’s special occasion smoke. Buds are very hairy looking.
Where did that info come from?.. I am after mostly Sativa or NLD types. . I’m using the info from The Spice Brothers. No mention of Indica. I would not categorize Lieu Hanh as an Indica. The person I got the seeds from doesnt gorw indica veriaties. Ill post pics of what I find
If this is what you mean? Robert Clarke, a renowned cannabis researcher and author, has indeed suggested that all drug varieties of cannabis can be classified as “Indica”. He argues that the traditional terminology of “Indica” and “Sativa” is scientifically incorrect](https://hightimes.com/weirdos/ditch-the-old-terminology-an-indica-sativa-response/)
Lieu Hanh
Bred by: Spice Brothers
“Hundreds of Neville’s haze f2s were grown out in an effort to show recessive parental traits. After careful selection and tasting we decided on very sativa dominate side of Neville’s haze that had a flowering time just short of 15 weeks and had the trippiest profound smoke quality with no paranoia or couch lock. Easy let down and no hang over”.
“An extremely early flowering Vietnamese male carrying an almost pure single cola shape growth was put over our specially selected Nevil’s Haze girl. The Viet male was so early that our girl was not prepared/advanced enough in flowering to take a dusting so pollen was collected and stored until she was ready”.
“The results have produced a sweet a piny/pepper-fruity aroma and when cured correctly brings out a lovely cameral hash-like taste when smoked. Not all offspring will bring this intense thick taste but they all carry slight undertones and very enjoyable”.
that vietnamese sounds suspiciously unlike any vietnamese ,
one would assume it should be a sativa ,
but its too fast to pollinate a 15 week sativa on its own ,
something weird going on there ,
it sure sounds like a vietnamese indica ,
which sounds like some sort of contradiction…
Buddies, one of the most honest and skilled breeder I ever seen was FET. My Nevilles Haze AG came from his work as other varieties I can state he was in the right scenario and the right knowledgment to do so
I guess it is how he interpreted “early”. With variation within the gene pool early doesn’t mean Indica to me. The plants will tell me what they are as they grow. There are a few threads on ICMAG about Lieu Hanh. Not many to pick from but they don’t look indica to me. I was surprised hyp3rids version is identical to Spice Brothers but doesn’t mention them in there description?. Madmac reproduced these using Spice Brothers seed stock. If a Indica male was used it wouldn’t be an Indica variety. Its still a Sativa/Haze hybrid IMO.
Vietnamese Black
Legendary Sativa from Vietnam. Should act in its effect similar to magic mushrooms. Hallucinogens with strong visual and auditory effects and even paranoid feelings should occur, not for new smokers. Very vigorous growth in displacing other plants, as a special feature huge 13-fingered leaves. Flowering time 16-18 weeks.
