3weeks since my last post and it’s been a busy time for me trying to get the harvest trimmed, chopped and hanging to dry, then paper bagging for the start of the cure. That and my hunting and fishing trips have made this month go by in a blurrrrr.
So it’s looking like I will smash 6 pounds and possibly push close to seven. Far exceeding my expectations and ensures high quality cannabis in my stash for the next year.
I’m going to proces the 2017 Shishkaberry into hash at some point so when I weigh it and transfer to jars I will use the quart size canning jars. My guess is she weighs close to a pound… I’ll say 12 ounces just to make a early guess
early standouts from the jars I have been taking on my trips… the Fire OGKB F2 #1 … I shoulda cloned her LOL The pre98 Bubba S1 (@VerdantGreen ) is everything I had hoped for… creamy mocha with a hint of berry. She is gonna have to be bed time smoke as I feel nappy after consuming her. Stat Line ( @Tonygreen )… outstanding and a thumper as far as potency goes.
anways I could go on and on as I sample each plant from greenhouse 2023.
Gotta take a bit of a breather here for a few days and relax at home before I ponder anymore hunting trips for november. Bitter cold this last hunt as temperatures dropped to -18C overnight and -4C daytime. At home here is was -14C this morning at 7:30 am.
Now I gotta wait for the lakes to freeze up before I can make any fishing plans LOL
Gotta get all the sensimillia weighed and jarred up and then it’s on to deseeding all the flower from the pollinated branches. Fun times!!
halloween tomorrow and then Nov 1st is scheduled for seed popping and getting the flower room ready to flip some clones. More on that later!!!

So I did a running total on paper as I weighed out each plant.
Each ounce was put into a 1 pint small mouthed canning jar until I ran out of those and used what I had on hand which is wide mouth pints and quart jars.
My preliminary totals put me at around 7 pounds but that didn’t count the jars I took on the first hunting trip and the fishin trip which was 5 x 1 ounce jars and a jar I weighed out of the grape pie before I started the weigh ins.
So here is how it all broke down

*** These totals do not count all the flower from the 44 pollinated branches that were set aside in paper bags to dry and cure for deseeding and hash making.
Might have hit 8 pounds if I didn’t pollinate anything.
I’m satisfied that all the hard work I put into this run has been well worth it.
Now it’s time to turn to indoors where I am a day behind on my seed pop that was scheduled for yesterday. So I am on it… the seed catalog is out and later this evening I will pull some selections from the vault.
I also have some plants that are ready to get switched to 12/12 so I gotta get my ass i gear pronto!!

7.5 pounds is a great harvest, nice job on the outdoor run. I am interested to see which one of those you you like best after a good cure.

ya I have the grape gas x gorilla bubble and the grape stomper x sour bubble. It was a toss up as to which one i was gonna run first. Then there is the runtz x sour bubble , sherbikerbubble and sherbiker f4 that were also calling out to me but they will have to wait for the time being.
I have 27 of @Tonygreen 's creations and now he’s dropping the Lime gorilla bubble at GLG … killin me LOL
I gotta test my own shit and tony keeps dropping the irresistable… 
I started 2 each of oreoz x ogkb 2.0 reversed, pink x ogkb 2.0 reversed and ogkb 2.0 S1. The Oreoz x shows tonnes of vigor right out of the gate. The ogkb 2.0 s1 also pushed tails but the pink x seeds didn;t germ so I might have to try a couple more.
The amount of seed coming from those branches is about 1/3 of what I expected which is unfortunate but I can repeat the crosses to make more.
All the seeds are transplanted to starter pots except the 2 pink x and 1 of the champagne went mushy. Nearly all the good ones had nice tails and shed seed husks.
I started them in the house but will be taking them to the veg room today.
I’m leaving tonight for quick solo deer hunt a couple hours south of me but will just be a day hunt. It’s a good spot and I don’t mind the drive really. Will probably go a few times between now and when the season ends dec 10. I have one more deer tag I can fill and I’d like to see the freezer holding at least 200 pounds of meat… not quite there yet. Lots of ruffed grouse and snow shoe hare around last week when i was there so hopefully bring a few chickens and bunnies home even if i don’t get a deer
I’ll get pics rolling soon, got a bunch of shit to do first though. Got a 5x5 tent to set up and get some plants flowering in there asap. Have had to go nuclear on aphids that infested the grow during october. Never seen that before and it really freaked me out. Plant health took a hit but they are bouncing back. Bug b gon with canola and diatomaceous earth are working nicely.
so that’s where I am at. I’ll try and make things more interesting with pics n shit soon enough hehehe

well, the new year is upon us my friends so Happy New Year and I really wish the best for everyone in 2024.
2020 right up to the end of 2023 kinda sucked hard and it’s been emotionally exhausting. From losing friends over political and vaccine decisions to seeing many friends pass away or move to places I will never be able to afford to visit. It’s been a very small group of online friends and the cannabis community in general, that has got me through the last few years as that is where I turn when I need positive energy to quell the darkness. I’ve carried lots of rage over the course of my life and thru friends and cannabis… and fishing and hunting , manage to persevere. I know I am not alone in these struggles, the past 4 years have been brutal on most of us.
Not many people know much about me and it is generally how I like it LOL but who I am is a big part of where I am and why Strawberry Hill Seed Co. came to be. Being involved in cannabis growing and breeding going back to 89 in the first garden I was shown and then worked in, I developed a deep love and reliance on this plant we all share. I was severely injured on the job back in 97 and growing and breeding became my therapy though I always had a helper for the heavy stuff. Over the years I had to take a break from any direct involvement with indoor for 10 years although I still dabbled in outdoor with friends up in the mountains of nahatlach bc. I never looked at become a breeder who dropped beans at seedbanks… it just wasn’t my ambition for breeding… still kinda isn’t.
I fought for years with workers compensation and they fucked me because I have a congenital anomaly in my tailbone. My injuries were widespread but the lifechanging part was my pelvic joints and lower vertebrae. So I worked when i could and didn’t when I couldn;t and finally in 2015 with the help of my mother inlaw… LOL I convince the wife to let me grow again so i wasn’t paying 160 to 200 an ounce for bud. During this time I was also going through the process of trying to get full disability pension from the government. A 4 year battle ended with full disability status but they refused to pay me a dime… my wife gets a tax credit of max 5000… rediculous.
So I started Strawberry Hill Seed Co. with the support of my online friends @shag, @crownpoodle , @ rykus/coastal (wherever you are buddy) , @TopShelfTrees1 and a few other folks not on this site. I have red seal tickets in steel fabrication and structural engineering specializing in bridge and span fabrication. I’m a “if I can see it in my mind I can build it” kind of person. Because of my injuries, over a decade ago I opened a custom rifle and composite stock making business and did very well until May 2020 when our government banned most of the firearms my business catered to. I was instantly out a comfortable 40,000.00 a year income working from home in my shop and stuck with the same amount of materials for stocks and thousands… and tens of thousands more in banned firearms, stock moulds and firearm parts/rifle smithing tools.
So… I have to fall back on what I can do… that is grow cannabis, select awesome plants and make seeds worthy of other people’s gardens. My mission is simple… find powerful flavorful cannabis that improves my quality of life … mentally, spiritually and physically.
It’s the first day of a new year… I hope you can all join me on the continuation of my journey and my adventures with this wonderful plant. I wish blessings on all your gardens and your personal lives… Health and Happiness, Friends and Family and a shared love for ganja

The garden , plagued by aphids on a near disasterous level is coming around. I’ve chopped back all my moms and transplanted everything. Plan is to get everything healthy enough to get good clones off the moms and pops and then kill the parents and veg new moms and pops. The current seed lot in veg was hit really hard between the aphids and the pest control products but most pulled through although delayed in growth. They are starting to take off now though. Couple weeks and I’ll get clones from those and once rooted, those parents with get flowered out in the 5x5 tent I am about to set up and move them too.
I’ll get pics rolling here soon enough but it’s just veg time right now and a few weeks away from flipping anything.

Happy New Year to you too buddy. I read your post a couple times. The parallels just stopped me in my tracks. A legit WC injury I got thrown under the bus over. Fucking judges, attorneys and medical “professionals”. They didn’t seem like they were used to being accused of collusion.
It wasn’t but a couple days ago my wife of 39 years, more together, says “I don’t understand the rage?” Neither do I. I’m getting older. Not everything is simple. We’ve both apparently lost friends/associates over the same reasons, more or less. Most days there’s nothing keeping me from driving less than 10 minutes, to where “the boys” were kicking dirt, checking the surf and talking (lying) about fishing. Some coffee. Some weed. Conversations. The places I’d always hung, when I wasn’t hanging by myself, were never places politics were appropriate. Well…I blinked and something changed. These places, lots of these people I still consider my friends, are just not satisfying to spend time with.
Those very same men you included me in company with? The same names who are important to me mostly. I am extremely grateful for your friendship, and that of a few others. A pretty small group for me too. It means a great deal that this is a group I’m included in.
Yes. In 2024 I shall attempt to grow weed. Goal. Better weed with less stress. Clone game up and running. I don’t need to learn how to grow a bunch. Just better. I know I have the genetics to do so. In all 3 tents at the moment. Soaking on my shelf. Stored away. In the mail if I think I need something not already here.
My for fun New Years seeds soaking are Genus Rude Dog. Tony Green Stat Line fem, from you. Ninefold Bluedream x DMT. My next batch in a few weeks are more @JAWS testers, Alien GORG? Grapefruit GORG? One of them, and is it “My Precious OG”? Is that one you might drop someplace later? I’ll run what would be a pack if so. Treat like testers. Or is My Precious OG some special headstash weed. Yum!
I think if I stay out of the way, 2024 will be tolerable. Moving along. 44 days to surgery. 4x4 should be hanging about then. Plants going in will be in 2s or 3s well before. Testers and seedlings mostly at a good point. My one offer of help if need I will accept. Tommy’s a fisherman, not a grower. Perfect!

In the canadian secret santa gift exchange I received a grove bag stuffed with this really nice strong flavored mendo purps x zkittlez. I think CSI offered the cross at one point but not sure of the source of this flower. It’s really nice stuff and I found a real big ripe seed in a bud so I figured what the hell lets pop a bagseed. If its a girl and tastes like her mom… I’ll be keeping that clone around hehehe
Precious OG is a pet project of mine that is an isolation of traits from a plant I found in Karma’s Old Grandpa Scratch… 5 or 6 years ago now. I’ve been breeding it and always choosing the plants that are like the original mother cut that I called Precious. I did 3 sibling incrosses to the mother clone and then crossed a few offspring that were all close fascimiles to the mother with a male called LMZ. His traits were easy to spot in the outcross and then bred away from. The line most closely representing the original mother cut for both males and females are the seeds you have that I wrote “My Precious OG” on tthe pack.
I’m a Tolkien fan so it is a one ring to rule them all kind of name hehehe
My friend holds my mother cut of old grandpa scratch ‘precious’ so the next step before any release will be a recombination of the line your seeds are from with the mom. It will be far enough removed from Karma’s work that I’ll be comfortable releasing it.

yup the Blue Dream x DMT aka DMT Dream F2’s I sent you were made by Dawn Patrol. He was a fixture on icmag and the labs until a couple or so years ago. I’ve ran several batches of seeds he has made and swapped with me and I’m confident sharing them with friends. @shag if you want any of these seeds, say the word my friend. I also still have original DMT Dream F1 seeds from @SmokinJoeMGF that I may pop and seed increase later in the year. That DMT male that Smokinjoe used to make Darlin’s Net , DMT Dream, DMT Breath and Sour DMT was sure a killer male. He also sent me Sour DMT which was Sour Dubb x DMT… I grew a small number of those seeds and found awesome powerful flavorful females. At the time I was in the middle of other projects and rykus/coastal from the labs offered to grow out the seeds and send me standout plants and seeds. Well as much as I respect and love the guy… I never did get any clones or seeds from all those sour dmt beans. The way it goes I guess. He found a few killer plants so I am a little jaded over that one. He was really good to me with sharing knowledge and also seeds from the sunshine coast growing community so I can’t complain too much LOL
That said, if anyone out there is holding Ninefold’s Sour DMT aka Sour Dubb x DMT and has no plans to pop them soon… I’m into trades hehehe or send em and I will seed increase them like I did with shishkaberry 3f2.
