I want to get some seeds asap. I’m in Canada. I’d like some advice on what breeders are at the top of the industry, as far as knowing what they’re doing with breeding techniques, and taking the required time and effort to produce stable genetics. I’m not too familiar with all the terms, and it’s been a while. I mean, essentially, that if one buys a 5 pack of seeds, they won’t get 5 different phenotypes, and they’ll be very likely to get the pheno(s) and characteristics that the breeders intended, and that are described in the information for that variety/strain.
I’d be a bonus if someone who knows could also suggest something from a seedbank in Canada (hemp depot, gta seeds, etc.) as that’d be the easiest - especially h-depot.

Edit: Also, some things I like are kushes (like the old purple kush, or “tuna kush” if you’re familiar with that kush that came out of BC, canada a long time ago), and maybe a haze hybrid - something that slaps a grin on your face - like a jack herer or jack herer cross. Anyone try moby dick, or purple moby dick, by Dinafem?
JOTI as some mentioned is up here. If I were to go to a seedbank in Canada I would order from @CoastalMarySeeds , they are a sponsor here and provide great service. https://coastalmary.com/ . There is also a fairly new Discord server up called the Canadian Seed Testing Alliance. They are completely Canadian and have a number of Canadian breeders on board who offer up testers of their work for free. You just need to run them and post updates.

Honestly I’d send Gord (MJ) a message at Far West Genetics (Peak Seeds!) and get some clones or seeds from him. He’s now a licensed nursery and has solid genetics that he’s worked for years. I think you should try his kush

It’s a seedbank that also has their own lines of seeds. So you will see a bunch of their stuff and if you scroll down you will other breeders who’s seeds they sell.
As for Discord, it’s a pretty simple chat interface. There is an OG Discord as well. They have a bunch of Canadian breeders looking for other Canadians to grow their seeds and post journals. Just something to think about. I can send you an invite if you are interested.
I know of 2… Quebeccannabisseeds and doctors choice…im affiliated with Premium cultivars there an american breeder then there’s fatcat labs … Fat cat has a strand i grew called clair-mel orange. Awesome…

One of my favorite seed banks it’s more a collective of craft farmers joti is there and many others and he’s us based but I’m sure he would have no problem shipping to Canada
Here’s another cool thingy it clicks on to solo the cups they are 3d printed by bone aka Mr toad in nor cal they have a led light inside and can replace the watch battery that lasts like 7-10 days so your clone makes it safely it’s really cool if I had big cash I would get a bunch of them but hey one day

The plants are incredible. The buds are spectacular. What else can I say. Highly recommend. He is also good at freebies if you buy seeds.

Shit seeds, haha. Funny name, I just looked and they have pepper plant seeds. I’ve been wanting to grow some hot peppers badly! Pablano, for sure.
