Advice on seedlings. AGSeedCo. NL#2

Howdy.
Any plant disease professionals/experts able to help discern the issue on this seedling.
I hope its not TMV.
Its definitely having some issue though, not sure if its just so inbred that some are genetically wonky.
Or, if its viral.
It is from a pack of NL#2 IBL from AGSeedCo.
Thanks in advance!

Sometimes you see this in very young plants they normally out grow it

Hi! Thank you. I’ll keep an eye on it. The vigor is there so I was skeptical on anything viral but I am not 100. Both you and Hashplants have said it will grow out, so I will roll with it.
And regardless of it being one plant, I don’t want a virus in my already extremely small grow.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Hashplants, sorry for getting of on the wrong foot.
Thanks for taking time to comment and show your pics.

Not that I see any other evidence; but given the carpet and garden plants in the background, I would say it is just as likely to be fighting off pests (mites) or stressed from overwatering.

I second the OGs though.

Could just be specimen or container specific; but I would quarantine & observe if possible and you have other plants; but at least keep an eye on it and notate developments. Just don’t stress out when your plant shows signs of stress.

Absolutely. I hear that. It is the first grow in this area as far as I know, but I totally hear you. I guess its time for some IPM. I’ve scoped the leaves and have seen nothing. It is still cold here and the plants have only been in for a month or less. I’m sharing the tent space with this years food garden starts. I’ve been transplanting sprouts out tonight but it has only cluttered the tents more with the 3 inch pots lol. I’m going to have to weigh against it being a pest right now though, but I really appreciate the reminder, now is the perfect time to hit my farther along plants with some enzymes. So thanks for that. The carpet is toast anyway so I’m going to hit it with some diatomaceous earth, and then work on getting a different floor solution. I’ll keep this thread updated if anything crazy arises or if all is good. Either way! Cheers! Thanks for commenting.

Edit: I think quarantine is a good idea so I will still do that. thanks for that suggestion too.

Yeah, i also think you overreacted. One plant, one leaf wrong in earlier stages shouldnt put you on alert.

Better watch out for later on. Half-way through the flowering, if more than one leaf goes funny at the same time. That’s when you get sus and check all sorts of shyte

That is completely normal and happens all the time. Especially older seed. It will grow out of it in a week or two. All of my NL 2 turned out great

Thanks! I actually remember a Potcast where it was mentioned that seedlings will sometimes present mutations but will completely grow out of it. So im with you guys. Im just restarting the grow so Im looking to start clean.

I recently had a batch of seeds show similar defects when they were young.
I also got freaked out that it was viral. But, I sent samples to a test lab, and everything came back clean.
After a few weeks, the wonky seedlings grew out of it and they are now super healthy and vigorous.
It just seems to happen sometimes I guess…

Good luck with your NL2 grow! It is one of my favorites of all time. Amazing high from her!!

In fairness @hashpants hates himself for better reasons than this.

If he bothers you that much you can just mute him. Relax guy.

Some plants just do this when young. I’ve also seen this happen (and straighten itself out) in reaction to a ph swing. Good luck friend!

I’ve just had it happening to two auto plants…but unfortunately they don’t seem to recover from it well…fuck autos🤣

I just grew them to have weed quickly while the rest needs a few more weeks. But they’re more of an eyesore than me being proud of them.
