Aeroponic cloning

I said I wouldn’t do it, but had access to everything and extra time to set up, so I am cloning some snips for first time using an aeroponic cloner, I currently have these same strains in rock wool and a dome right now, tomorrow will be day 4.
Tonight is day 1 for Aero. Only tap water used, some of the babies are dehydrated as they sat for about 5hrs b4 getting settled in. 2 of the strains looked like they just got cut, 5hrs later.

I’ve seen a lot say 100% or damn near close so here goes nothing… I’ve had success with several other types of cloning, individual dome cups, soil vs coca coir, air layering, have the rock wool going in dome right now as well I started few days ago, and now this.

Doing some more of these ladys

  • Clackamas coots “the one” original cut
  • Clackamas coots private reserve original cut
  • 1977 Burma original cut of coots
  • the other one (pheno hunted) (T.O. X T.O) x (T.O. X palcalolo)
  • Star Pupil (pheno hunted)
  • Star Pupil x unknown (neighbors cut)
  • Mimosa (pheno hunted)
  • Purple Unicorn x (Larry OG x Gary Payton) pheno hunted

Il try n post some pics in about 10
Days

Good luck, I hope they go quickly! I’m waiting on some snips to root myself.

I’ve done well with domes, I do not care for coca coir as a medium tho. Just not for me maybe. I’ve had better success (actually pretty high in soil compared to coca, this setup as you prob know is supposed to be insert and forget about it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ time will tell. Good luck to you <3

If you don’t have success with this, I would highly recommend dip and grow for rooting in domes. It by far the best I’ve come across for a rooting hormone. Altho I haven’t tried a popsicle stick yet :joy:

How long ago did those roots pop up? I’ve seen roots come not from the cut, with regular tap water and with rooting hormone applied b4 inserting. I just took a look at mine and have some starting not many tho.
Do you have roots on others as well? What’s your RH at?
Here’s some of mine just forming…
I fucked myself in the beginning because the water got hot as hell after about 2 days and I wasn’t expecting to need to change it until 6-7days, think I lost 3 maybe 4 lady’s due me slacking. The motor got really hot, I checked water 24hr later and 48hr later with same amount filled and was fine. (I also check the sprayers after each water change) Was quite strange… Also I don’t have any cover over it and not in a tent, I would assume they would root faster if I had them in higher humidity.

The clone king clone machine!

I think I have like 4 of them sitting around. Great, cheap clone machine.

If you order directly from hardigan’s hydroponics they redesigned it. Now the lid is all plastic molded (instead of particle board or whatever the original was) with nice grooves to hold the clone collars (like an ez clone lid) and the reservoir is a bit better too. They really did a nice job with the redesign.

Oh yeah, now I see that it looks like you both have the new lid. Good to know that Amazon has them now too.

Here’s what the old one looks like, if you never seen it. (don’t mind the dirty collars. lol. I don’t use this clone machine anymore)

Here is a great guide on running an aero cloner:

Yep, the new lids are way better! I was very surprised they didn’t raise their prices with the new design.

Oh, and if you ever need another, check out their direct order site.

You have to pay shipping from them too but I think it ends up being a bit cheaper in total ordering from harrigans.

I use the systems with a light, i have a iDoo and two L.Y.K.O i can them in a 2x2 with 36 spots. I ph to 5.5 or so and just use rooting powder for the cuts/plain water.
