i thought i share a pic of my recent mazar. 2 have very nice smells, one like sweet lemon candy and the other exactly like lemon grass, very very similar to an auto northern lights I grew last year. a friend said it’s straight lemon grass smell and taste for him.

that is a good question! I got them around 7-8 years ago as freebees and they were described as mazar I sharif landrace, it was like ~20 seeds in plain zipper bag. unfortunatley I don’t remember where I was ordering back then.
I already grew some seeds and ended up with the most rotten meaty garlic smelling monster female I grew to date. that’s why I’m excited to smell those 2 described above. I think I found something special, time will tell.

Flower Day 54
It’s been a bit since my last update, but we’ve made some progress over here. Not fast by any means, but they’re coming into the last 2-3 weeks of flower. My poor girls are getting shredded by fungus gnats, so I’ve gone hard on the yellow traps. EC keeps creeping up on me, so for the last few weeks here, I’ll likely be just diluting the res and adding pool shock.
Otherwise, I think this next week to week and a half, I’ll get a nice bump as they fatten up, and then cruise to a finish.

Last, I’ve germinated the last two of my Black Lebanon seeds for making BL IX. I’m going to use pollen from my Black and Blue Lebanese in order to keep it a pure Lebanese incross, so I threw a couple of those in water. In a few weeks, my male tent should open up for growing those. Then I’ll take clones off the Black Leb and smash them with pollen.
I also threw some Syrian and my last Leb27s (poor germ rate) in water as well. I might keep a few females and cross them with the Black&Blue pollen to use with my upcoming semi-AF project.

Aw that’s too bad. But not uncommon if your mazar are pretty close to original landrace. Sometimes they just don’t adapt well to indoors. Good thing it wasn’t your favorite one though. That’s always a bummer!

I expected that, the first I grew had it too so no surprise here. the best female from the first grow of those threw nanners in like the last week. I was tempted to let her go on. im just glad I catched it early

Hey lefty, the following two phenos of my mazar get another chance to show in a second cycle. all others threw nanners, some more some less.
I pollinate both with the pollen in the next cycle IF they don’t throw nanners. the first one showed no nanners so far. I’d like to keep her as a male testing plant kind of like a practice girl 
but that depends on showing balls or not. the second one needs another chance because it’s a great pheno. leathery, rock hard buds, pole plant…everything I like on an indica strain.

Flower Day (yesterday, 65 days)
I might have cut back the nutes on these a little early. So they’re gonna suck it out of the leaves now. I’m in an epic battle with fungus gnats and cold temps that probably stunted these a bit. We’re down below 2 weeks on these. Seeds aren’t yet brown, so even though a few have full orange pistils, they’re not done. 11-week pure indica… I’m ready. Clobber my face.

This gal is the funk. Nice spicy pepper pheno. Probably the most pepper I’ve smelled out of them. Not the to yielder, but bud quality looks great.

I’ll chop 1-2 more tomorrow. One of the phenos are all finishing together. The others will probably be ready in a week. No bud rot and haven’t seen a single nanner yet on 8 girls. Happy days.
