Afghaniganza 4.5
I’ve transplanted 3 of the best looking BlackDak x 88G13HP, and put 5 more into the DWC holding system, while I put them under flower lighting and wait for them to show sex (top pic). I am getting them started in flowering a bit ahead of the BlackDaks by a few days. That way I can also get the BlackDaks spaced out a bit in the veg tank and let them stretch out a bit more.
In a few more days the Black Leb x Black Afghan will be ready to chop as well, and at that point I should be ready to transplant the BlackDaks into flowering.

Black Lebanon x Black Afghan (71 days)
This is the other girl that didn’t herm. She had an acceptable level of nanners, so I will keep seeds from her, in case I can’t reproduce the line to my satisfaction. I had a good male, so I’m fairly confident that good selections for another generation or two could remove most of the intersex traits. This is a very different pheno from the other girl. This one is very strongly Black Afghan in character. It has those “Gene Simmons tongue” leaf fingers.
Smells are very strong. I still describe it as pine, eucalyptus and berry. It’s a magical smell, loud and far different from anything else I’ve ever grown. Buds have a large calyx structure, just like the Black Afghan. Chances are she’s gonna be strong.

Banana Hammock
I’m staring down a trim bowl of some really beautiful herb. It’s nature’s art. Meanwhile, just clipping the buds off of the stems has cleared my nose. This is some really piney weed. I’m so excited to smoke it.

BlackDak x 88G13HP
First male has been identified, and it’s a good one so far. Top 2 pictures show the male plant. I think I can identify it as BD-leaning based on the leaf shape and finger count. BD has a “pillowy” look to the leaves with a softness to the serrations. The 2nd picture shows what I think is an 88G13HP pheno. The plant in the first pic (probably BD pheno) goes 1-3-5-7-7, but the 2nd pic goes 1-3-5-7-9.

Looking nice! Those sexed up quick.
Just a quick note - the 88G13HP females I just cut were both only showing 7 bladed leaves (from the pics I checked). Didn’t see any 9 bladed… but there may be.
I actually think both cultivars look pretty similar. It appears the 88G13HP took on red petioles where my black dak did not. Potentially nutrient related though?

Female (culled)
I’m happy to report that things are going well on finding a male. I have 4 really solid contenders, and no real preferences between them as of yet. They all look fairly similar so far. In the top pic, the back right is a female, which I have culled. I’m digging the short stature of the plants. The female is super-tight in the nodes, probably getting some assistance from the 88G13HP.
@man-bot I see just a hint of red petioles on the female, but not much on the males to report. But I’m really loving these guys so far. I’m looking forward to seeing the formations of the male flowers. These are maybe 13-14 days in flower right now, and I think it was already pretty easy to sex them at 10 days. One male is a few days faster than the others so far. Nice and squat plants right now, I think this week we’re gonna get to see some stretch begin.

BlackDak Females Day 10
These are trucking along. I got lazy/busy this week and my pH drifted up to 7! WHOOPS! Noticed it there were a few plants looking like they had slight mag defs. I fixed that issue and we should be back in business.
In another week, the exciting things should begin and @8k_feet will be coming in right behind with another tent full of females to add to the selection. This is gonna be good! I’m super excited to have @8k_feet back and growing again. We have big plans to produce some 
stuff this year.
