Got some AJ Sour Diesel Bx1 & Dessert Delight s1 seeds I made from my Dessert Delight reversal. Which was practically sterile even more so than AJ back when I reversed AJ, Dessert Delight is even harder to get to reverse. Dessert Delight is Grandi Guava x AJ Sour Diesel-[reversed]
This AJ Sour Diesel Bx1 is my first Bx1 I ever made. I just wanted to put this thread here so I can update it when I grow these as soon as I feel they’re ready to pop which is pretty soon. I know the AJ Bx1 is ready because the first seed popped easy! But I haven’t trimmed it all up yet so it’s still somewhat seeded. And the dessert delight is already trimmed and I took all the ripe s1 seeds out and collected them I feel it would be ready to pop too to be honest so I’m about to pop em all and see what I got and have faith that I find something.
Wish me luck.

Any updates on these? I was always curious about your dessert delight cut. I’ve grown both AJ and grandiguava and loved em both though they were very very different.
Hey sardinebags — thanks for asking! Definitely got some exciting updates.
Dessert Delight S1 has been one of the best trips I’ve ever taken through sprouting seeds. Out of all the seeds I popped, three clear winners stood out — and man, they are something special. Each one brings its own variation of those signature Dessert Delight terps, but all stay true to that decadent, sweet, candy-like aroma with tropical, sour notes layered underneath. Every time I lean in to smell them, it reminds me why I made Dessert Delight into a brand: it’s not just a strain, it’s a representation of everything I want to push forward — quality, uniqueness, and something that genuinely leaves people (and myself) in awe.
The AJ Sour Diesel BX1 has also been a dream. It’s the best sour I’ve ever sprouted from seed. But here’s what’s wild: I’ve never seen a sour carry terp profiles like these. No other sour has ever been made by Dessert Delight or with it — and it shows. When you do these sour backcrosses or F-gens, the outcross parent often comes through strong, and in this case, Dessert Delight as that parent really left its mark. The results are ridiculously delicious.
Real talk, maybe one out of every ten plants from that run is truly next-level — I’m talking about plants that will crush anything I’ve ever found in sour. The kind of plants that serve up sweet, candy dessert terps with that gas and sour backend, leaving you with something so delightful it almost feels surreal. Every time I lean in to check them, the plant speaks for itself: stable, unique, aromatic, and dripping in trichs.
And this is just the beginning. These lines are only going to get better with more selections and line work. Dessert Delight is everything I’ve dreamed of and everything I’ve built my breeding philosophy around — solid plants, loud terps, joy in every jar.
I’ll keep updating, but I’m beyond excited for where both these lines are going. The plants are the proof.

Glad to hear it. Im looking forward to seeing where you take this. I always loved grandiguava. I was less a fan of ajsd but I’m a curmudgeon so ignore me.
By chance have you tried the other grandiflora cut pcg put out ‘blue limonene’? I bet you’d enjoy her. Candy lemon terps. I wouldn’t say gassy or sour but also not the same kinda candy as grandiguava. Really interesting cut. Worth exploring since I know you have access to the same cuts as myself
I absolutely love Blue Limonene. Honestly, it’s one of the best strains I’ve ever smoked. On the nose, it smells like Key Lime Girl Scout Cookies — super bright, candy lime with that zesty punch that makes your mouth water. But the taste is a whole different experience: piney kush with that deep, classic resin flavor, except the Cuzzin-type note transforms into this mouth-coating Grandiflora-style fruit finish. It’s that other terp, the one that hits the missing part of the palate — like how Grandi Guava satisfies with its candy guava, Blue Limonene hits that other lane that was begging to be filled.
When I went to grab packs from Jose (my go-to for out-of-state moves), he had around 80 or 90 pounds of Blue Limonene, and they flew out faster than anything I’ve seen. The feedback was amazing, and I kept some for my personal stash. I’m actually smoking it right now while writing this — it’s just that good.
And I’m really going to try to work with it and make something out of it in ways that would never happen without me. This plant deserves to be part of something bigger, and I have ideas to take it places it’s never gone before. The plant keeps inspiring me, and I’m just following where it leads.

I thought you’d like her! Ya she is quite special. I’ve ran a few of these lemon cookies cuts floating around and kind just wrote lemon off as a boring terp profile until she came along. Something about how well balanced her flavor is really just pops for me. I get notes of lemon, pine, a gentle sweetness all wrapped in like a lightly spiced ginger cookies backed that just makes her so special. I’m glad you also enjoyed her. Her downside in my eyes is how temperamental she is, Im not a fantastic grower and I’ve noticed she complains alot about pH or nutrients, at least moreso an my other cuts. She also requires a lot of support.
For a while there is was a gelato fan boy and ran every commercially available pheno I could come across. Grandiguava was the one I kept, I felt myself drawn to smoking her more than the others. Plus she is just so hearty, easy to grow and not fussy in the slightest. Your project caught my eye because I agree she is probably a good backbone for a breeding project.
Anyhow, keep us posted on your projects. It’s always nice to see other folks working cuts I’m familiar with as I can kinda guage what flavors might be available in that melange of genetics.
I named this Dessert Delight S1 #16 - Spray Can.
It’s got that loud, in-your-face terp that’s just straight-up mouthwatering. The best way I can describe it — it literally reminds me of popping the cap off and sniffing a fresh spray can.
Loud, gassy, chemical-sweet, and addictively sharp. This one’s gonna turn heads.
On 4/20/25, I wanted to spend the day with my mom for the holiday. She had plans to go somewhere, so I went with her to make it a good day together. Before we left, I warned her our dog Sam has separation anxiety and will destroy my stuff if left alone—but she insisted she trained him.
Well… we came back home, and all my revegging AJ BX1 plants were on the floor. Trampled. Mixed up. I threw a full-blown shit fit. I cried. Every 4/20 seems to go bad for me, and this one was no different. All I wanted was a good one. Didn’t get it this year. Maybe next year I will.
Half of my AJ BX1 winners died that day, tho I’ve got seeds sprouting out the rubble that my Floyd male pollinated somehow & I’m saving the sprouts out of the rubble because I know their winners I chose x Floyd. But I’ve still got 70 more seeds of AJ Bx1 and the other half that survived, so it’s not over. I’m moving out of this overcrowded studio into a two-bedroom apartment soon—hopefully in the next month or two. Once I do, I’m dedicating that entire living room space to fully blown out grow breeding sour and using the warehouse for purples.
This studio’s been tight and uncomfortable. I’ve tried my best to expand, but soon this nightmare will just be a memory. The moment I’m in that two-bedroom, I’m cracking the rest of those AJ BX1s and going hard. It’s personal now. I’m taking sour to a new level with deep, intentional line work. Real selections. Real depth.
And here’s the craziest part—out of the hundred AJ Sour Diesel BX1 seeds I sprouted, not a single herm. Zero. These are the most consistently stable fire plants I’ve ever popped. I’m talkin’ half of them were straight up winners. And that’s not an exaggeration. Half.
Not only do I still have 70 left, but I gave a bunch to Cross Creek Cannabis too, and he’s got probably about 70 himself. So we’re sitting on a real foundation here. And of course I’m gonna reverse Dessert Delight again to AJ and remake this line—I’m just being straight up about it. I usually don’t like to say what I’m gonna do before I do it, but this isn’t a plan anymore—it’s pretty much a fact. Because when something performs this good, you follow that path.
No other drop I’ve ever cracked had half the seeds be winners. These plants are telling me what to do. I’m just listening now.

Sorry for your loss. That’s a huge bummer. About a year ago our male cat got into my tent and tore through pretty much everything he would nibble on. I caught him in the act just laying on my ebb flood table bathing in the light surrounded by mutilated plants. Made me so angry I put up a kitty jail swing door. It’s about three ft tall
