Dear all,

Do you know any seedbank selling Albanian strains, maybe from Lazarat.
Any landrace?

I doubt it I would think unless it’s of older stock it will all be polluted from what I gather there own older style heirloom sativa stuff is gone for the most part over there sadly hopefully I’m wrong though probably the closest stuff left would be the old Italian line or certain greek strains but obviously there will be some differences I’d imagine

Thanks.

I was always convinced that the production started in Albania, when the Italian 'ndrangheta brought there what was called Calabrese Rossa - Red Calabrian ( which is another legend)…

Curios that for over 2 decades Lazarat has been the 7th biggest producer of weed in the word and there are no seeds available:)

There hard on stardog clones at this point sadly I’d think and yes you could be entirely correct on it starting in Albania maybe before Italy I’m not so sure on the timelines/origins I just know there related supposedly

Sorry, article is from a German Magazine. Maybe AI, Google Translate or Lens can help…
Two pages are missing, will have to take a pic of these asap for completeness.

Thanks for the message!!
Yes I read also that in 2014 some grower was interviewed and mentioned Netherland genetics…while also mentioning barrels fills of seeds.

If we assume that Albania arrived to produce up to 900 tones of cannabis. This is something like 2.5 millions of seeds? ( Assuming germination rate, etc, etc).
Did they really buy those amount during 2 decades? Did they mixed up their genetics with Holland seeds?

The Albanian ammoniacata that was circulating in Italy in the beginning of '90 ( rubbish to me) was seeded as we remember so maybe they mixed up genetics and crossed things up.

Text says Vision Seeds sold 50 - 100 thousand seeds (exact numbers remain secret) of their strains “Super Skunk”, “White Widow”, “Silver Haze” and “Auto Northern Lights” to their partner farmers in Albania. The article is from 2015.

So landrace? I don’t think so… :roll_eyes::disappointed:

Albania

The police is not really the problem in this part of Europe: With sufficient cash, most problems can be solved relatively easily and quickly. The locals secure their plantations with dogs and other means to protect them from theft. More problematic are the local conditions. The threshold for violence is relatively low, and weapons like AK47s or machine pistols are practically part of the “standard equipment” of a well-stocked household. Locals are mostly very suspicious of strangers. They look at them skeptically, and it’s better not to get lost in the area.

So it is also in our village, from which the photos come. In total, the cannabis plants in this summer - approximately 100 to 1,000 thousand marijuana plants - are expected to yield between 700 and 1,500 grams each. So, a ton or more is quickly produced. The locals themselves consume little, that’s for sure. No one wanted to tell us where the grass goes in detail - or what they get for it.

Albania does not prohibit cannabis cultivation, but in practice it is forbidden. The cannabis cultivation in Albania is famous, and in warm areas, when done well, the plants provide high yields.

Of course, not all plants grow here either, there is damage from pests, but also from drought and cicadas.

The feminized seeds were procured by the villagers from the Netherlands. In the first years, they still drove to Amsterdam for that, but meanwhile they have met Dany from Headshop Visions in Maastricht. Dany has been operating a headshop and also a hemp seed bank, which apparently has not only good genetics but also good contacts. Dany was able to offer discounts. While last year it was about 5,000 seeds of the Super Skunk variety that were bought, the number grew this year to between 50 and 100 thousand - Dany didn’t want to tell us the exact amount. And the seeds are bought by farmers from the area. Moreover, the auto-flowering varieties are particularly high-yielding. With Dany’s seeds, that they can harvest the plants early to then employ them at the opportunity.

The feminized seeds are pre-grown indoors. Only when they have reached a size of about 30 cm are they planted outdoors. To do this, holes are dug in the ground and the soil is enriched with additional fertilizer.

One can dig into the ground and build up the nutrient supply that the plant can draw from, because no additional fertilizer is used. Pest control is also not used here. Pure nature.

The plants grow up to 3 meters high depending on the variety. Here in the Bavarian forest, the area is good. The harvest is possible, the soil is poor in nutrients, but with preparation it works - organic.

If you like chem stuff it’s decent its kinda similar but a lil different to c4dd if you ever tried that there along similar lines except Afghani is used for the stardawg incross and Hindu kush for the c4dd incross initially both are pretty good

I honestly think the chem stuff is the best stuff to come out of America in a long time I know it’s not even so new but it’s obviously tighter held in years gone by and more folk are breeding with it these days too
