I haven’t registered a dog in over 15 years. Then again only like 2 or 3 dogs have ever left this yard in that time too and they went to really close friends. I havent taken my dogs to a show in over a decade too… The humaniacs and politics don’t appeal to me haha. Spend weeks getting 5 or 6 dogs in shape take a lot of time if you taking it serious, only to lose to a fat over weight panting pig because those people happen to just spend a lot of money there and donate so they have to win to be kept happy. I lost my shit at the SA nationals one year when my bitch bred down from Gr Ch Yellow lost her 1st place in conformation to one of em… I approached the owner of the fat winner afterwards and asked if we could face our dogs off for a photo since my dog had gotten 2nd place… I was being polite and all and they agreed lol… They knew they lost. I asked the President of the association what she thought and how she could judge the dogs the way she did. She says because my dog had scaring and didn’t represent the family pet she awarded the 1st place to the half dead pig dog.
I shared the picture on the old dog forum I was apart of and made a big enough stir for thr spca to visit my yard 
. Never went back to a show and they witch hunted me for about 5 years afterwards
That’s the bs we all know too well. We are tricked into believing that it’s safe to bring our dogs into public. But instead we get treated like @Sunvalley was treated.
It was probably jealousy more than anything, a good eye can spot one of these dogs a mile away… and everyone doesn’t have them.
So they get mad when they actually see one.
Here’s one thing I know for a fact about ADBA…If you pick up a show judge for an ADBA Show at the airport take him to breakfast and buy him lunch your dog will win something at the show…There was another judge named Mary from FL. that gave her granddaughter 1st. place for a fat dog while there were great conditioned dogs in the same class.
I’ve seen a dog bite a person at a show and still place ,. I woulda placed the dog… In a grave

One of my pups , 1 yr old . The only one I intended on keeping, and ended up with 2 more when we ran into issues when the new forever homes had dogs that didn’t agree to the new additions. This is Marley she’s about 50 pounds and is my crazy female. Jumps like a jack rabbit, clears even the tallest baby gates with no effort , climbs everything she can , I think she feels she is part cat. Lmao. My little sidekick. Had dna testing done when we had some confusion on what breed momma actually was. Marley is 75% American staffy 12.5 Asian guard dog and 12.5 cocker spaniel. Momma is 100% staffy dad has the mix. Wife suggested building and obstacles course out back for her. Plans in the works. Lol
How many of you’ve been attacked by one?
I got a little nip the other day & am only 1/2 awake posting this but I’ll elaborate later. was either my dog or my leg & I’m too familiar with what “gameness” means. 
It’s hard to know about the “old dogs” argument since I’ve only lived 43 yrs & it’d take someone 2x my age to know… 
I had one flip on me once… Had to give up the arm and work him off from there all the while trying to get to the door, open it and get him off me… Throw him in the spare room and slam the damn door closed . He was a scary dog. Had to put him down
My male got me once, he was getting attacked by a stray and I jump in the middle , was an accident , but definitely was a scary and painful experience, I would do it again. Been one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. Still have him. Grumpy old man and the father of my pups. One of which is previously posted …(Marley).
So… I was too high at 7:30am the other day & forgot to close my porch gate…& spent 10-20 minutes messing with a cabinet, thinking the dogs were on the porch. 
Nope.
Both were running free, who knows where, in a jungle, one black one dark brindle. 
I haven’t met most of my neighbors yet & undoubtedly some aren’t friendly.
By luck of some unknown origin (thanks 
mom!) the one guy I had met found Betty, my dear 7 yr old & I found the “new” dog Riley that came with my new house.
But in the frantic search I had Riley(some unknown breed, probably a Spaniel or setter of some kind) on leash walking down my road & encountered 2 neighbor pit’s, 1 pup & momma. The guy starts yelling “hey brah she might bite!” & it wasn’t 100% sure what to do but when I saw business coming I turned to pick up my dog & the small-but-stout pit mix took my left calf but ended up only getting one tooth in. Sweat pants DO have serious value! 
Pretty much shredded the pant & the owner grabbed the dog but it wasn’t fun.
This particular dog wasn’t charging us but once her pup ran ahead & the owner started yelling it went to go for my dog & when I grabbed her it was even more confused.
Since I’m new in the neighborhood I didn’t report it as a dangerous animal but it would qualify since it was loose in the road.
Gotta get my taser soon.
