Hey @Pedro_Bann I think the fact that the male bits are showing elsewhere is down to the fact that you are injecting the SN and like so are letting the plant absorb the SN and circulate. Letting it grow balls where it has space or pleases to. Unlike with spraying.
Just a thoughtā¦ IMO
question to youā¦ that pollen you collectedā¦have you used itā¦ was it viable?
I saw where you think shooting up the plant is not a great thingā¦ imho if it was just for pollen (and its viable) its a great thingā¦ also I saw where it helps magnificently in revegging
The plants that got pollinated with it looked like they would make seeds. But I didnāt get one seed out of it off any of the plants.
So in my instance it failed but there is a lot of room for more experimenting.
Just a note Iām new to this also.
Donāt forget that with any method, sometimes that happens and they do not produce viable pollen so that may not be the method, but the plant.
just a thought.
Something is off with the amounts and concentration used. The paper uses 2 times 50ug/0.5ml = 0.0001g/1ml = 0.01%.
slain uses 100mg/10ml = 0.01g/1ml = 1%.
20/100 units in the syringe means 2000ug instead of 100ug
With a factor 100 difference in the concentration and a factor 20 in the total amount Iām not surprised to see burn marks showing up
welcome to the chat.
slainās method seemed to get resultsā¦ you know folks like resultsā¦besides the burn(necessary evil for this???) what you thinking.
how did the clones come out from the revegā¦ any issue since being born from the silver?
What are you guyās thoughts on rodelization thinking about giving it a try this run
This is the first time Iāve heard it called this and had to look it up.
Iāve never tried it but if I ever see a banana Iāll give it a try.
My thought is you are encouraging late intersex in the offspring. Soma doesnt use this method anymore and is using STS now.
That is interesting for sure. I had not heard Somaās currÄnt views on it. I am trying to find more info on the technique I apprÄciate the input thank yoÅ«.
Started STS a month ago and already pollinating. About a week or two ago, like week 3 of flower, I realized I had more STS left than expected, so I began hitting the other female buds with STS hoping to have some male flowers pop out. I understand most recommend to start spraying right before flipping to flower, which works, but Iām wondering if hitting with STS in week 3 is going to work.
I kind of wish I didnāt STS again because I have quite a bit of seeds forming on the reversed mother. I didnāt STS on some of the week 3 female flowers and the seed develop looks normal in the flower, but the flowers I did hit with the STS seem to have a hard male flower developing or an immature seed (I will post a pic). Iām thinking the STS in week 3 of flower may have decreased seed quantity or quality. My intent wasnāt to seed the reversed mother, but I was expecting to get some S1 seeds from the process. My main purpose is to cross it to two other cultivars in a tent with the feminized pollen but was also happy to also have the S1 seeds. I am starting to see male like flowers emerge, even between seed formation, so I may have reversed it again but not sure the male flowers will produce pollen and not sure my S1 seeds will develop as well as they would have had I not hit the plant with a second round of STS. Ideally I will get more pollen and the seed production with be normal.
The large ones are obviously seeds developing, but there are small hard things developing that I think are male pods, but look a little different than typical male pods. They are not your typical banana and they donāt look like male pods that develop early in the flowering phase.
yes indeed, be careful with this stuff, always wear gloves when handling silver nitrate
Whatās everyone using to reverse a plant the simple fool proof method . Iād messaged Sebring I believe at one time he was selling the solution wanting to make some s1 auto flowers .
Colloidal silver has always worked for me. I tried STS once, but the plant was too small and it didnāt take the spray very well.
you buy or make?
