Never heard of them, but I am gonna check them out.
Damn Forest! Get them babies down and play! I’m not good but I find I have less worries when I play. It’s my relief.
“When you get confused listen to the music play”
I got into the Dead recently and they always cheer me up, so I’m gonna send you a song from Jerry that always helps me…not the lyrics but the solo…
Beautiful music and artwork
drums and vocals for me.
tried to learn guitar years ago but didn’t really take it seriously, drums I took to naturally
I have pondered learning bass guitar… that would be cool but some poorly healed busted fingers may be a problem LOL
My kid just bought the Wayne’s World Excalibur guitar. white fender strat. MIM. Meanwhile, I have an '88 white Squire. and the Ibanez RG570. that’s my daily driver. Other buddy bought a guitar same day my kid did… Yesterday. So. there’s my deja-vu for Father’s Day.
Very nice!
Those mim strats are very good bang for the buck. And that maple neck looks great.
That Ibanez looks nice too. Is that a Floyd rose?
Yeah they are. I had a 1998 sunburst MIM Strat. years ago. B.C. (before children)
Yup. took a few hours of YT videos to learn the floyd rose setup. now I love the thing. my buddy got the Ibanez with the locked bridge. I have my RG570 dialed in for standard and drop-D with the fine tuner. It’s so quick to switch it. and those Cobalt strings. I’m real happy with those.
I like the Ibanez personality myself, never was a fender guy but I always wanted there telecaster were it’s got that twangy bridge pickup for country music.
I don’t like country Music though, I just thought the pickup would add a nice mean crunch to the tone for metal.
I’m not too great at playing but I enjoy putting on some some random music and playing something over it for fun. I wanted to do my own custom guitar so I took this one I had apart, sanded it all down, and taped it up then tried out hydro dipping and sealed it which turned out better than I could have hoped for. Bought some new parts to match/upgrade old stuff and also drilled out the fret markers then replaced them with glow in the dark powder and epoxied over it then sanded that down and finished with a piano key type pattern with darker oil and lighter oil on the frets. All in all it turned out fantastic in my opinion and has a sort of galaxy kind of look to it which is really cool to me.
I want a Fuzzface. The Bonamassa model. But im poor. So i just poke a couple holes in the speaker. Old school method. You just cant turn it off.
Only been here a few weeks since my return and there’s gardening and guitars… awesome!
Heres one of my players Strats…it’s a 93’ Mexican but stands up to my 99’ US Standard in sound and playability!
Id recommend against the mini sized FF. They fixed the jacks, but the bottom is a snap on piece of soft plastic.
I love fuzz. The more transistors the better.
@belleswell
Moved here not to post on the wrong thread.
Yes I understand your concern and respect.
I will check the tunes on soundcloud.
I will try to guess the guitar played ![]()
@belleswell , I use your posts with soundcloud attachments as my OG radio since I discovered I could keep reading while hearing them ![]()

Theese are not album recordings but you still sound professional and could easily replace any of the guys you covered, in a concert. Specially your satch covers are close to perfect like a studio version. Your perfectionist perspective makes me think if you could be an engineer or a technical specialist on any subject.
And yes it is not that hard to guess the guitar the piece is played with in terms of brands. I just wonder if you ever used J custom in any of satch covers?
Has great technique and his tone is pretty sick…definitely a semi-pro or former studio musician. He’s a cool
cat brother @belleswell that’s for sure!
I used the J Custom Ibby on both of these. Tone Zone and
Air Norton pups.
Ten Words cover
Satriani Jam
This was a track Joe released for a video racing game. It’s a short one and as I listened to it for the first time, I kept waiting for his lead track to kick in. In the mean time I was picking up my guitar to jam along. Joe’s lead kicks in half way through about the one minute mark. The ending was by accident as I was holding a note when the song ended, so I added a little of the beginning to the ending to save the note I left hanging like a big ole matza ball.
J Customs are definitely a cut above most Ibby’s.
Tri-Sound switching
I prefer the offset fret marker dots on the fretboard on the
earlier J Customs vs the floral pattern ones they made on many
a few years after this one was released.
The J Custom was released in '03. On the left.
I have 18 Ibby’s and all of them were made at
the Fujigen plant in Japan. It is my opinion that Ibby’s made at this
plant are superior to lesser and cheaper Ibby’s made in other countries.
On the road in the early 70’s. A motel room in either Tulsa
or Austin. Playing my '63 SG Special
And all of that has nothing to do with this.
